Tiny Tea Leaves Cardigan

Here's a fun tidbit about me, I cannot keep a secret nor could I save this sweet sweater until closer to Christmas.  On Monday, I delivered the sweater because I was too excited and really wanted the mom to have it early.  If you ask me, the buttons make the cardigan!

I watch a lot of Disney Jr while babysitting, well not watch, but it's on in the background as I chase and play with the toddler I babysit.

I've knit this pattern in adult form for me twice in the past.  It's well written and if you are into cardigans you have to wear buttoned at the top, this is the cardigan for you.  I knit size 2 and hopefully she'll be able to wear it for three seasons.  I will definitely knit this pattern again.

  9. That sweater is darling and the buttons are the icing on the cake. I have knit the adult Tea Leaves and have worn it often. I can see why you wanted to get it to the mother ASAP. I can just see a little one flitting around in that sweater and some black leggings.

  12. P.r.e.c.i.o.u.s.! Your button choice is perfect. Mickey Mouse Clubhouse -- I can hear them calling "Oh, Toodles" for help in the background. Memories from out toddler days. ;) She NEEDED this little cardigan before Christmas to get to enjoy wearing it all the sooner. Beautiful job, Karen. blessings ~ tanna

  16. The buttons are just a fantastic finish! No doubt. I have to admit that though mine is a moody teen, there will be a required viewing of Mickey Mouse Christmas Carol and Mickey's Once Upon Christmas. I'm getting all Mom nostalgic just thinking about it, ha! I love the Tea Leaves pattern for bigs and littles, a solid knit every time, but I can tell you I will definitely be much more inspired for the button choices in my next one, thanks to you!
