Yarn Along
What a crazy morning! Uploading pictures on blogger was just not working! Thank goodness for the help forum because I think I have figured out how to do it. Anyways, good morning to all of you. My knitting this week has been coming along quite nicely. I am almost done with the Composition Shawl, it should be done today or tomorrow. Remember this scarf. That is what I am going to focus on when my shawl is complete. I am also seriously considering making the feather weight sweater again with the Madelinetosh lace in colorway wren. I am definitely going down a needle size and maybe a sweater size. Still thinking about that.
I did finish Mennonite in a Little Black Dress and I loved it! It is a good read and I recommend the book. I thought it was a bit slow in the beginning but it picked up and kept me very entertained. I am also reading Dirty Life. I started it a while ago and then I set it aside. So now I have picked it up and want to finish it :) I like it except I think I would be just a vegetable farmer. It seems too sad to say goodbye to animals for any reason (for me).
Joining Ginny at Small Things for this week's yarn along!
I love your scarf, the pattern, the yarn, everything! I am getting ready to read The Dirty Life since everyone says it's great. Have a beautiful day.
ReplyDeleteYour knitting is looking fab as always :) hope Frodo is being a good boy with the wool ;) I came into the lounge one day and my 2 little monkeys had taken out 2 balls of wool and unravelled them across the floor! I was cross but they looked like they'd had lots of fun!
ReplyDeleteBee happy x
Have a delicious day!
Loving all the yarny goodness in your photo. The Dirty Life seems to pop up a bit. Haven't read it but hope you enjoy it. Jacinta
ReplyDeleteBeautiful knitting :) And thanks for the books recs - I'll have to look for those.
ReplyDeleteYour knitting is just gorgeous. i succumbed after last week's yarn along recommendations and bought the dirty life - i have only looked at the first page, but I like her style.
ReplyDeleteWasn't it a pain trying to upload photo's this morning? I had the same problems as you, and had to use the old uploader - very frustrating. xx
Lovely, lovely knitting and colors. :)
ReplyDeleteYour knitting is always so beautiful-just light and airy looking-love it!

I didn't post a yarn along today because I've done nothing worthy! I throw longing glances at my knitting bag as I rush by...
ReplyDeleteSo, I live vicariously through people like you. :)
Blessings, Debbie
Sounds like you are as busy with your knitting as I am! I love the shawl. Can't wait to see it finished and blocked!
ReplyDeleteI was going to kick Blogger this morning -- glad it wasn't just me experiencing issues with pictures. Whew :)
ReplyDeleteYour projects are lovely as always. I'm looking forward to seeing the shawl when it is finished. Happy knitting!
I was having issues with blogger too!!! It wouldnt load my pics! Switching to html seemed to do the trick, for now. The shawl is lovely and you must finish that scarf, the yarn is gorgeous!!
ReplyDeleteYou and your shawls! I'm always so impressed by them. You are such a busy knitter.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the book recommendation. And I felt that same way after reading The Dirty Life - don't think I could handle the livestock too well. I nearly cry when a fish in our care dies.
I would become a vegetarian before I would slaughter an animal myself.
ReplyDeleteLove the knitting!
I really enjoyed The Dirty Life...one of my favorite "new farmer" memoirs. Looks like you're making lots of good knitting progress!
ReplyDeleteVery cool shawl! I want to make the featherweight cardy too - I just don't know if I'm up for that much light knitting!
ReplyDeleteHave I mentioned that I love that purple yarn? Because I do. I'm having serious yarn envy over it...
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you're reading The Dirty Life again. I loved it. But you knew that. :)
xo
Those colors are just so beautiful! I especially love that peachy golden color.
ReplyDeleteLove the purple!!! Here's mine
