At the Winery


For Christmas last year, my dad and step-mom gave my husband a gift certificate to Spyglass Ridge Winery.  We waited and waited until now to go and visit the vineyard and their store.  The drive was wonderful (in air conditioning-luxury!) and the weather was perfect.  Sunny but not stifling hot.  This winery is about 45 minutes away from us. 


So while my husband taste tested inside, I took photos outside!



I think this was a fun gift to receive for Christmas.  It ended up being an activity with a personally selected gift to bring home.  It also gives the local business some.......business.





I had an incredible urge to pick these and taste, but I did not want to disturb their crop...

I am sure we will visit again and maybe take a tour.  If you have a local vineyard, definitely take the time to stop by and enjoy the "fruits" of their labor... (I couldn't resist, sorry!)

Knitting News

  Good morning to you! How are you? I'm excited about my hat that I've been knitting enjoying the sea of stockinette stitches. When I first started the hat I thought it would be too small, now I wonder if it will be too big. Gah. I will find out soon I guess. I wish the photo about showed how beautiful the colors are in real life, you'll have to trust me on this! Below is my next knitting project, the habitation throw . I will definitely use the pink and gray, I'm still not sure about that purple, I might have a look-see in my stash and do another ponder about that color. I chose this pattern because I can use up some of my stash and I adore Helen Stewart's patterns. What are you working on this week? Also: I will probably not be posting this Friday and the following Monday because of my family visiting. I hope to be back next Wednesday (unless I change my mind).
