Our Northern Neighbors

I need to address the eternal question right now.....Yes!  I did eat one of those cookies from yesterday's post, are you nuts?  We also ate lunch there and it was quite tasty!!  My cookie was a maple leaf and every single bite was sugary delicious.  I knew I was going to have one of those cookies because I never make sugar cookies with icing....

On Friday, my husband and I drove up to Ottawa Canada to visit his brother and wife and their family.  We had the best time ever!  It was so relaxing to catch up on everyone's news and to just be together.

On Saturday, we received a private tour of Parliament Hill, how convenient that my brother and sister in law work in the downtown area!  It was a picture perfect weather day.  Sunny but chilly at the same time.  Fall is definitely in the air.

We just walked around and enjoyed the company, took in the sights and snapped many many photos.  Some were taken by me and some by my husband.

The buildings are just so beautiful, old and majestic! We were only in town for the weekend.  But I would have loved to have a tour in any of the buildings.

Our walk-about ended when we were hungry for lunch.  Also we were a little tired, maybe all the fresh air had something to do with it.  We did walk up a hill!

Once we were through being typical tourists we went home and sat around.  Would you believe I did not knit very much this weekend?  Multitasking is not one of my strong suits.  Tomorrow, I will share some pictures of the market!
