On My Needles
If this post in any way makes you buy some yarn or start a new project, then my work here is done. I have been drooling over the Color Affliction shawl for about a week. Okay, maybe more than a week. I had a serious problem. I wanted to make the shawl but did not have any yarn in my gigantic stash. I know! The horror!
Really and truly I did not want to buy more yarn. I was faced with a serious problem. So I meditated about it and my solution was simple. I needed to go yarn shopping.....again.
Lucky for me, I have been seeing many blogger buddies knitting with Quince and Co yarn. So that is where I started to look and that is where I purchased my yarn. I have to say they were very speedy in processing and posting my order! Makes me want to buy from them again.
My yarn arrived on Friday and I immediately casted on the project.......I've named the shawl "destiny". Because it was meant to be. (on a side note remember in Back to the Future when McFly says "Lorraine, my density has bought me to you."???? great movie moment)
Pretty, pretty, pretty!
ReplyDeleteI love the customer service that Quince gives and their yarns are top notch!
Yes, I remember the line from Back to the Future and destiny is a perfect name for your shawl.
Oh. My. Goodness. This is going to be GORGEOUS! I've been holding off on ordering from them. I've been afraid....that I'd like it WAY to much. It is an absolute dream to work with? I love the colors....sorry, didn't mean to drool
ReplyDeleteOoooh, gorgeous colours! Can't wait to watch it progress :)
ReplyDeleteIt does look lovely all lined up and it looks equally lovely on your needles. Excellent choice of colours! x
ReplyDeleteThose colors looks magical together. I have yet to be disappointed by their service or yarn.
ReplyDeleteDelicious colours, can't blame you for a bit of yarn shopping... :)
ReplyDeleteQuince and Co. make gorgeous yarns, don't they? I have to say, I'm quite in love with the colour combination you chose!!
ReplyDeleteThree things.
ReplyDelete1. I had to add that shawl to my queue. You guys are killing me, with all the good knitting ideas…
2. I do remember that line. I don't know what that says about me.
3. Isn't Quince & Co lovely? I ordered some a week or two ago & it arrived so quickly. (Although I'm not terribly far away so it's not *so* surprising that it didn't take long.) I can't wait to work with it. (I'm actually making something for myself with it!!)
xo
I love your colors. I am finishing up my cowl (after ripping out several rows!) with Quince yarn and love it. We love Back to the Future, too....although I could have done without the second one in the series :)

ReplyDeleteGorgeous yarn! I love Quince & Co.'s yarn so much.
your colors are just luscious!!! (I was out a bunch yesterday and missed your post---caught the shawl on yarnalong this morning and needed to see the yarn.....had to giggle that you, too, had to buy yarn for this. And I thought I was gaining on my stash since I didn't have anything in mine that was right for this....!!!!!!!!) so so so so pretty!
ReplyDeleteI love that pattern so much! I'm going to have to make one to have around for next winter. I like the colors you chose, can't wait to see how it turns out. Let us know how the quince and co is, I'm interested in trying them as well!
