Pantina Shawl Complete
I finished this shawl over the past weekend and my daughter graciously modeled for a photo. As you know, I love knitting with Madelinetosh yarn so it is no surprise that the shawl is oh so soft :)
The pattern was easy and interesting. I think I prefer more lace in a shawl but this one was just fine. I altered the edging increasing from knit front and back on every stitch to every other stitch. I was afraid of running out of yarn so I had to conserve somewhere.
It's going to be 70 degrees today and that is not shawl wearing weather, is it?
Karen, it turned out absolutely beautiful! I can just imagine how soft it is. hope there'll be some cool spring days for you to wear it often!!
ReplyDeleteThat is pretty, love the color.
ReplyDeleteoh, Karen!!! The shawl is GORGEOUS!!!! So drapey. So lovely!!!! Hope you and your daughter have been having a ball!
ReplyDeleteIt is just stunning Karen! If your area is at all like mine you could find a shady area to sit in and wear the shawl, it's always cooler in the shade.
ReplyDeleteIt's gorgeous and I'd wear it just to show it off! Or maybe turn the A/C up for just a little bit ;)
ReplyDeleteWow, you're fast! Gorgeous shawl, perfect pattern for that yarn.
ReplyDeleteOh, I think I'd wear that regardless of weather. It is gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteJust beautiful - such glowing colours in that yarn. I must find out where I can get MT yarns here. xxx
ReplyDeleteso beautiful. have you given it a bath yet? oh what m.t. wool does after a soak! even softer and bloomier. love.
ReplyDeleteOMG! I made that shawl! But yours is way prettier. Mine turned out a hair too short and I chose yarn that was a hair too thick.
ReplyDeleteyours looks perfect!

It's so so so so so so lovely! The colour... Lovely lovely.
ReplyDeleteGORGEOUS!!!! Oh my goodness it came out beautiful. The color is so bright and cheery!
ReplyDeleteOh, it turned out so pretty! I love the drape of it. Now I really want to cast on a shawl for me. I keep meaning to but not getting around to it. Love this one!
ReplyDeleteWow this is a beautiful piece. I love the drape and the shape. I will have to check out the patern!
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful colourway! I don't think I've seen that Madelinetosh shade before. Goodness, another Madelinetosh fan. I swear the last skeins I've just knitted up were even softer than any others I've bought before. What I really appreciate is the durability. When knitting for small children you want their stuff to last despite the wear and tear. Madelinetosh is wonderful.
ReplyDeleteA beautiful shawl.
Goodness, this is so lovely and drapey... and such a beautiful color. I'm knitting with Madelinetosh right now and I am smitten.
ReplyDeleteOh, Karen, it's beautiful! Seeing your Madelinetosh creations is tempting me to try some of that yummy yarn!
ReplyDeleteI love, love the color of your shawl. I may have to try one after my stash busting days are over. There isn't nice enough yarn in my stash for something that beautiful!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful shawl, and very nice photos! Enjoy wearing it! I'm also a Madelinetosh fan and looking for my first shawl pattern. Your photos are so helpful, very sharp.
