Weekends

This weekend was a relaxing one filled with:

-rosemary olive oil bread (bought and so good!)
-dinner with friends
-shrimp on the grill with roasted vegetables
-cupcakes!
-lazy slow mornings and phone calls with the kids
-knitting knitting and more knitting
-finishing up watching Hatfields and McCoys which was good.
-watching most of it through my fingers-remember I'm a PG rated girl and violence is not fun for me.
-looking forward to watching Pride and Prejudice knowing it will be a war of witty words :)
-very overcast days because the remnants of Isaac are arriving

how was your weekend?

  1. Sounds like my ideal weekend, I think I need to come visit! I am a sucker for Pride and Prejudice witty words. Your photo reminds me of our road, only with gum trees thrown in the mix of greenery. Jacinta

  3. Sounds like a perfect one. I haven't heard of Hatfields and McCoys but love Westerns...I think it's the wooden houses but sounds like this one may be a bit out of my comfort zone too.

Enjoy Pride and Prejudice you can't beat an Austin classic.

    Have fun,
    Deb

  5. While I loved Hatfields and McCoys I was surprised by all the violence and really, I came away with such a feeling of sadness. Such a waste of so many lives and so much hate. :(
Now I must see if I can find a recipe for rosemary olive oil bread, that sounds good. I gave up wheat for most of the summer, but lately have felt the cravings for warm baked bread!

  15. Ahhh, looks and sounds blissfully relaxing...and delicious! A Pride and Prejudice mini-series ~ now that is tempting. I'm just rounding out my Jane Eyre obsession (picked up Gemma Hardy at the library on Friday!) but may need to transition to Ms. Bennet soon.)
