Weekends
My weekend was filled with:
-opened doors and fresh air
-spotting a huge hawk that captured a rabbit-beautiful and no camera in hand
-a walk, to drink in the mild summer temperatures
-enjoying the butterfly bush that some insects are noticing hopefully a hummingbird will catch word
-travelling visitors for lunch-strangers to me, acquaintance to my husband-friends as they left
-oh the leftovers from my overkill for a mere lunch
-picking the first cucumbers and tomatoes
-sleeve knitting, getting very close to completion
how was your weekend?

Your weekend sounds divine. I sometimes hope for a quiet weekend but I know that with three boys under 10 those days are still a little way off.
ReplyDeleteThank you for popping over to my blog and leaving such a sweet comment. Have a beautiful week x
Oh the yarn is so pretty and so is the bag holding it. :-) Wish our weekend had been as restful as yours. We spent ours dealing with the death of a chicken, trying to get the cable working in our living room (finally giving up and moved furniture instead) and painting our daughters room. Busy, busy, busy...
ReplyDeleteWishing you a great week!
You got me at the first one "open doors and fresh air"- love that! Excited to see what you will be knitting...sounds like a pretty neat weekend Karen.
ReplyDeleteWe went swimming with friends in Glacier Park- hurray for summer!
We loved the great weather on Saturday. It was great to not have the A/C going for a change. What a lovely project bag with some real nice yarn inside!
ReplyDeleteI love those kinds of lunches, Karen. New friends are the best! Good luck with that sleeve!
ReplyDeleteI love the leftovers from meal overkill. ;) Like a second treat from the visit! We enjoyed time with Little Lady and family. =) blessings ~ tanna
ReplyDeletesuch pretty yarn and mild summer temperatures...I wish for those, so.
ReplyDeleteWe're using up left overs tonight...I love that and all that fresh air. It's nice to be able to breath at last. I wish we had hummingbirds here they are so beautiful.
ReplyDeleteHope the rest of the week is as good.

I love reading your weekend lists each week. Many of my diary entries are in just this format. How lucky that you got to witness a true wild kingdom moment! Poor rabbit, lucky hawk : )
ReplyDeleteJust getting toms and cucs? I forget how spoiled we are with our early garden bounty. Of course that is balanced with the unbearable humidity :(
ReplyDeleteThat sounds like a most beautiful weekend,
ReplyDeleteNina x
Sounds like a lovely weekend. Ours was quiet and peaceful. I love the colors in your bag, and the yarn too.
ReplyDeleteA lovely weekend. Love that yarn and the bag :)
ReplyDeleteIt sounds perfectly idyllic! We did lots of projects in the afternoons, and that felt good. I feel like my soul just soars when I am making things:)
ReplyDeleteSounds like a beautiful weekend! I love your bag - did you buy it or make it?
ReplyDeleteMy sister sewed it for me and it's one of her designs. She does not have an etsy shop yet....but one day I hope to help her set one up and I'll be sure to mention on my blog. It's a sweet bag, even has a pocket!
