Currently on the Needles
I think I might have stunned you! Not only is there a new book but two new projects on the needles as well. I seem to have a case of cast on fever. I love when that happens. First off the green project is a scarf for my husband. He loves green and I have two skeins of dark green and one skein of light green of Frog Tree from deep deep deep stash. Before ravelry stash, I'm guessing :)
Next up is my cotton linen blend project-A Table Runner and I posted yesterday all about it. I'm on the second skein which is the last skein and I predict this knit will be done quickly.
For reading, I am onto a light book titled Between, Georgia by Joshilyn Jackson. So far so good-the plot is moving quickly and I care about each character and wonder what will happen next, all the important ingredients to a lovely read.
What are you knitting and reading this week?
Joining Ginny and Frontier Dreams
thanks for your kind words on my color affection Karen :)
ReplyDeletethe green scarf looks perfect, next winter i'll need to make another scarf for my hubby it's been a while since i made him one!
have a lovely day!
Oh I love the green! My favorite color! And a table runner sounds lovely. Happy knitting and reading :-)
ReplyDeleteloving that scarf bunches!!!! and of course your casting on like crazy….it's SPRING!!! :)
ReplyDeletePretty projects, green is my husband's favorite too.
ReplyDeleteI have a case of cast on fever too, but I keep holding off until I get my scarf finished. Today I am deep in paper work so knitting happened really early this morning.
Beautiful green scarf! I'm casting on too- you just have to get moving on new things in the spring, right?
ReplyDeleteOooo I love that green! I wonder if cast-on-itis is a Spring related condition, I've been coming down with it too lol
ReplyDeleteThat is going to be a very nice scarf and I'm looking forward to the table runner reveal. I'm still knitting my Calais shawl, but took a little break from it to knit a hat for somebody. My daughter has me reading Divergent right now. She wouldn't let up, and I'm glad she didn't. It's a pretty decent book.
ReplyDeleteIt seems like you are reading a great book. I must make note of that one. I love your knits. The scarf is a beautiful pattern with great colors. So jealous as I can't knit or crochet at the moment.
ReplyDeleteLove the color!
ReplyDeleteLove the greens! I'm itching to cast on now that I finished the Shalom. But also should really finish the two WIPs in my basket. Quite a dilemna ;-)
ReplyDeleteTwo new projects!! They are both really beautiful- I especially love the blue, one of my favorite shades. I am waiting for the library to let me know that Where'd You Go Bernadette is ready for pickup!
ReplyDeleteSo many pretty things right there on the needles. Once I get this current shawl finished the cast on itis will begin! I will have to add that book to my list - you know, the list that always grows but never shrinks because I never read!
ReplyDeleteI love the greens you've got going on! How do you keep yarn in your stash for so long? It would be calling my name!
ReplyDeleteGlad to know that I am not the only one that makes things for the inanimate objects in their home. ;-)
ReplyDeleteI made a cozy for my KitchenAid stand mixer that I've never regretted. Very clever idea for the table runner.
love those greens. that is going to be an awesome scarf
ReplyDeletevery nice!!!! sounds like a good book too! :)
ReplyDeleteI love the beginnings, but don't always love getting to the endings!
ReplyDeleteThe table runner will be amazing. THe scarf colors are great for a guy.
ReplyDeleteIm reading blogs. Im knitting my wrap.
IM enjoying SPring weather
Great projects Karen!
ReplyDeleteLove the greens. Might have to check out your book :)
ReplyDeleteTwo new projects (well, you did share the table runner yesterday, but still...) and a new book! I have a friend who crocheted a table runner once; I never thought of knitting one. Love those greens!
ReplyDeleteOoh you have got lots going on. Im in a real green mood at the moment, I think it must be something to do with spring.
ReplyDeleteI haven't really got any new projects on the needles at the moment. I haven't had much time but I've been customising the bergen cowl that I knitted by adding another layer and still reading the last Anne Tyler novel I picked up. We plan to try and get away for a couple of days at the weekend so hopefully I can finish both.
ooh glad I'm not alone with casting on all the things.
ReplyDeleteThose greens are lovely, that will be one pretty scarf.
Enjoy your reading.
Karen, I needed a change so I started over with a new blog.
ReplyDeleteI love the greens! So gorgeous! My crochet project isn't going as well as I'd like. I'm hoping practice does make at least better if not perfect. :-)
oooh- I love the green stripes!
ReplyDeletewell, as you know I'm not much of a knitter these days.
ReplyDeleteBut I am re-reading A walk in the Woods by Bill Bryson. So funny and educational, too.
XO
Oh socks and baby knits are all I can think about right now! No reading. I'm taking a week off and I'm going to try a scifi/fantasy recommendation from a co-worker...
ReplyDeleteIs that scarf a basket weave? Nice colors! I'm still working on a very old UFO and reading Blood and Beauty, about the Borgias. Both have been kind of slow going.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the book recommendation! I'm finishing up my current book so will put this one on my list!
ReplyDeleteDon't your projects look so pretty together! I love the greens together it will be a beautiful scarf.
ReplyDeleteThank so very much for your sweet words of encouragement about my shawl knitting. I'm not sure why I'm finding the idea of charts quite so intimidating :) I'll let you know how I go.
Have a wonderful week.
xo
LOVE those shades of green together! Your hubby is going to have an awesome scarf when it is finished! :)
