Gloves and a Scarf
As you can see, I finished a few projects and I am thrilled to have them completed and out of my knitting bag. The gloves are tucked away for when the fall cool weather arrives-just think I have something new to wear!
This scarf was truly a labor of love. The knitting was a bit fiddly because of the sleek yarn. The entire time I was knitting, I was thinking and worrying about whether I would have enough yarn. Oh my, what a waste of time. Once again, the magic of blocking cured all of the worries!! This knit blocked out beautifully and you know, I have one other skein in a light gray and might subject myself to more knitting torture to have another scarf :)
A beautiful treat to bring out when the weather turns again, those gloves are delightful. However the colour and design of the scarf is sheer bliss, a definite favourite.
ReplyDeleteThe scarf and the gloves are gorgeous! Time well spent!
ReplyDeleteI love the gloves, but the scarf is just drop dead gorgeous Karen!
ReplyDeleteHoney suckle is a vine, very invasive and I usually pull it up if its' in the yard since it takes over everything.
They are both beautiful. You have something nice to look forward to next autumn.
ReplyDeleteYour scarf was well worth the effort! Beautiful color, pattern and the fabric must feel decadent. The gloves look warm and cozy. I could use them today. Enjoy!

ReplyDeletethe scarf is lovely! I usually don't care what i'm working on as long as i like the process…but once in a while….the project just has to be made again, in spite of it not being a favorite thing to knit. I really love this scarf….you'll wear it a TON!!! (and don't forgot where those gloves get stashed….they'll be a great surprise for winter!)

ReplyDeleteEven before your final results, you got me to dig out the glove pattern! Soon! Let's hope you don't need them for a while though. Love the scarf!
ReplyDeleteYou know how I feel about the gloves and the same goes for the scarf -- it looks like a dream to wear, soft as a cloud. And the colorway is delicious. You are such a prolific knitter and produce beautiful pieces. I always feel inspired when I visit your blog.
