Currently on the Needles
This is a quick post, I'm still, yes still working on my socks, shawl and the blanket. Sort of slow going in the knitting and reading in my life. I'm looking forward to fall when there is more time to focus on my knitting.
My reading is the same, The Interestings has actually become a little interesting. The beginning for me was slow going but now that I'm more than half way through I like the story. I have no idea where the story is going but that makes me like reading it all the more!
What are you knitting and reading this week?
Joining Ginny and Frontier Dreams
I'm a bit like you doing small things, a handle for a bag I made ages ago and never finished and little squares for the blanket. It's the perfect small project. Your blanket is coming along beautifully, I love the colours.

Some pretty knits!
ReplyDeletereally loving that shawl!!! (and of course, the sock colors are great!!!!!)
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness, I love those socks! Where can I get my hands on some of that yarn? xo
ReplyDeleteI agree with Steph, I love the shawl and the socks. I really, really love the shawl.
ReplyDeleteHi Karen, I'm liking the texture / stitch pattern of your new shawl. My AnnaLynn would like those bold stripey socks!
ReplyDeleteNot much of either going on here. The garden has exploded! I too look forward to fall.
ReplyDeleteLove the color in the socks. The shawl is going to be gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful pattern in your shawl...great fun stripy socks.
ReplyDeleteThe shawl has a really interesting pattern and the socks look so fun. Great stripes. :-)
ReplyDeleteOh I love the socks!!! And the shawl is divine! I picked up my knitting again (finally) this week and if my headache stays calm I should finish the second sock that's been on the needles for months. A finished pair of socks! Then it's on to beginning the Christmas sock knitting
ReplyDeleteLove the shawl color! I am looking for a simple car knit as we will be taking a long drive come September!
ReplyDeleteThe shawl is a delight, I love the colour will go with anything.
ReplyDeleteI love the colors of the shawl and sock! :)
ReplyDeleteThe stripes make me happy! And of course, I just love the shawl! Interesting pattern...
ReplyDeleteLove the stripey socks! The shawl is looking good....
ReplyDeleteOh I love those stripes! I swear every week after seeing whatever socks you have going to try socks again soon but there is always some other birthday to knit for and not many little children want hand knit socks for their birthday, haha!! But sometime I'll just have to cast on a second project instead of being my crazy one-project-at-a-time self...
ReplyDeleteYour knitting looks so inviting! I love the shawl pattern, and the stripes in those socks :)
ReplyDeleteI know what you mean, I sort of bunker down and take my knitting a little more seriously once the weather gets a bit cooler, too.
I love variegated yarn. Seem like everyone is using variegated yarn this week! Enjoy your Wednesday.
ReplyDeleteI love how you have something bright and stripey and then something neutral in your knitting picture. I think I have a similar theme going on right now. I'm socks and shawl oriented right now. No reading, alas.
ReplyDeleteGreat socks! I love how the yarn is making such nice, even stripes. Your shawl is looking lovely, too--can't wait to see it when it's finished.
ReplyDeleteThe shawl looks like a really fun knit. I've noticed that I've needed to knit more complicated patterns lately to stay interested in a project - unless I'm riding in the car. Then just plain straight knitting works just fine.
ReplyDeleteKNitting a como top that is sleeveless.
ReplyDeleteReading …I'm waiting for a book to come in at the library..does that count?
Slow going doesn't mean "no going!" I love the stripes on your socks, Karen!
ReplyDeleteGreat sock colors and an interesting shawl pattern. My reading has fallen off lately. So many projects, so little time. :-)
ReplyDeleteFab stuff you are working on. That cream shawl just calls to me, it is gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteLove both of your projects. I am almost done with Lady Kina and wish I could say the same for my Civil War book. It is SLOW going.
ReplyDeleteThat shawl is going to be gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteI love the shawl - it's going to be gorgeous! And those stripey socks are awesome.
ReplyDeleteThose socks look all kinds of perfect.
ReplyDeletePretty shawl coming together slowly.
As you saw on my blog, it's slow going in my neck of the woods, too.
ReplyDeleteI love that sock yarn. It is so rich in color. I am looking forward to watching that shawl grow.
ReplyDeleteYour socks are going to be gorgeous!
