relaxing and enjoying quiet moments of our days.

My weekend was nice 

-I saw the heron (again) and managed to snap a really nice shot with the iphone.  
-on our walk on Saturday the fex ex driver stopped to give Frodo a treat because he loves dogs.  I love knowing and seeing that most people in the world are good
-made chicken noodle soup that was mostly vegetables
-had a lovely visit with my daughter and her boyfriend
-my daughter and her boyfriend became engaged over the weekend (YAY!!)
-bits and pieces of wedding talk mixed with ordinary talk, how sweet and so much fun
-there was church, lots and lots of laundry

Today I am faced with a long list of to dos, a messy house that needs to be put back together again.

    Exciting times, there is nothing nicer than a wedding. My daughters is 2 months now away from hers, it will be here before we know it. Enjoy the planning, many congratulations.

    Congratulations on the engagement!! Happy and exciting times ahead! My weekend was "colorful". ;-) Color run, new hair color, finished a "fall colored cowl", ripped out brown tomato and pepper plants.... I enjoyed every minute of it!

    a big congratulations to your daughter! oh that wedding planning talk must be a sweet thing to be a part of as a mama. and I love that the fed ex driver gave frodo treats~ I too love seeing the little things that are proof that yes, most people are good caring folks.

    Betrothed!!! How wonderful.
    We saw many herons last week in lake Geneva wisconsin
    My weekend: OVer done.
    Crazy saturday with my sister and the dogs.
    Sunday not feeling great; dinner at the relatives on the other side for a little ones birthday . Its a kidney thing so I wasn't contagious.
    I didn't pick up the needles all weekend…..very odd

My weekend happily contained: -wearing the above woolens all at the same time without being hot -so many walks and taking in the changing leaves. -a leaf shower on Saturday-the wind swirled the leaves off the trees up in the air to float down -changing screen savers to autumn themes! -a craft fair where my husband and I say "we could make that", but we don't. -french fries at the craft fair -scrambled eggs and toast for dinner because we were lazy. -football season has descended in my house. he was in the front room watching whatever is on today -I sat in the family room and watched A Tree Grows in Brooklyn .   Now I want to read it again. -Oh! Knitting News

  Good morning to you! How are you? I'm excited about my hat that I've been knitting enjoying the sea of stockinette stitches. When I first started the hat I thought it would be too small, now I wonder if it will be too big. Gah. I will find out soon I guess. I wish the photo about showed how beautiful the colors are in real life, you'll have to trust me on this! Below is my next knitting project, the habitation throw . I will definitely use the pink and gray, I'm still not sure about that purple, I might have a look-see in my stash and do another ponder about that color. I chose this pattern because I can use up some of my stash and I adore Helen Stewart's patterns. What are you working on this week? Also: I will probably not be posting this Friday and the following Monday because of my family visiting. I hope to be back next Wednesday (unless I change my mind).
