Currently on the Needles


Remember all of that car knitting?  Well I'm nearly done with the cowl I started last week.  I altered the pattern quite a bit and I think I'll be making more if I like how it blocks and wears.  I have a few skeins in my stash that would look lovely.  And this could be my Christmas knitting.

My reading continues to be the same.  As I said last week, I'm enjoying the story and I'm taking forever to read the book.

    i've been doing quite a bit of car knitting recently, too......and have dragged the dreaded pew shawl with me. It looks to me as if I haven't done a thing on it (I know better, but blech.....) Your cowl is moving along beautifully! and I really love that gem-stone quality color!

    Awww Great wine color yarn! I have a friend who loves that color and I need to knit her a gift..hmmmm
    Im knittng a Trap scarf in Navy and yellow. I may cast on a vest...Ive been inspired by another knitter s work I saw at the knit shop today

    What a beautiful color!! I wish I could knit in the car. I used to be able to. Read, knit, anything. Then I got pregnant with Ree. Ever since anything but looking out the window causes me to get car sick. (And when I was pregnant with Veronica even looking out the window made me carsick. Driving made me car sick! I'm glad at least that went away!)

    A cowl is on my list as well. your's looks so lovely! happy you are enjoying your book! i get car sick easily, but if we're driving on a straight highway, i can knit for a bit.... i need to stop whenever we get into a town or the road starts to get curvy...

    That cowl looks gorgeous. Such a lovely colour. I love it when a pattern (or your own version of the pattern) really works and you can keep coming back to it. So satisfying, and everyone needs a project they can just work on without having to think too much. It's good for the brain :)

Knitting News

  Good morning to you! How are you? I'm excited about my hat that I've been knitting enjoying the sea of stockinette stitches. When I first started the hat I thought it would be too small, now I wonder if it will be too big. Gah. I will find out soon I guess. I wish the photo about showed how beautiful the colors are in real life, you'll have to trust me on this! Below is my next knitting project, the habitation throw . I will definitely use the pink and gray, I'm still not sure about that purple, I might have a look-see in my stash and do another ponder about that color. I chose this pattern because I can use up some of my stash and I adore Helen Stewart's patterns. What are you working on this week? Also: I will probably not be posting this Friday and the following Monday because of my family visiting. I hope to be back next Wednesday (unless I change my mind).
