Remember all of that car knitting? Well I'm nearly done with the cowl I started last week. I altered the pattern quite a bit and I think I'll be making more if I like how it blocks and wears. I have a few skeins in my stash that would look lovely. And this could be my Christmas knitting.
My reading continues to be the same. As I said last week, I'm enjoying the story and I'm taking forever to read the book.
What are you knitting and reading this week?

ReplyDeleteLove the pattern and that is such a pretty color for fall.
ReplyDeletei've been doing quite a bit of car knitting recently, too......and have dragged the dreaded pew shawl with me. It looks to me as if I haven't done a thing on it (I know better, but blech.....) Your cowl is moving along beautifully! and I really love that gem-stone quality color!
ReplyDeleteThat is a lovely color yarn! I wish I had some car knitting time!

ReplyDeleteLove the color of your cowl! I feel like I skipped fall, color wise, and move straight into winter. Hopefully I can get something fallish made before the seasons change again.

ReplyDeleteLove the cowl but am especially curious to hear what you think of the book. I've gotten mixed reviews.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful color!! I wish I could knit in the car. I used to be able to. Read, knit, anything. Then I got pregnant with Ree. Ever since anything but looking out the window causes me to get car sick. (And when I was pregnant with Veronica even looking out the window made me carsick. Driving made me car sick! I'm glad at least that went away!)
ReplyDeleteA cowl is on my list as well. your's looks so lovely! happy you are enjoying your book! i get car sick easily, but if we're driving on a straight highway, i can knit for a bit.... i need to stop whenever we get into a town or the road starts to get curvy...
ReplyDeleteThat cowl looks gorgeous. Such a lovely colour. I love it when a pattern (or your own version of the pattern) really works and you can keep coming back to it. So satisfying, and everyone needs a project they can just work on without having to think too much. It's good for the brain :)
ReplyDeleteI've heard such good things about that book. Don't feel bad about taking forever- I do too!
ReplyDeleteLove the cowl and car knitting is always good!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE the color, such a deep and beautiful red! I'm looking forward to seeing the finished cowl and the changes you made to the pattern.
ReplyDeleteOoh, not sure I could car knit. That would be one more element to throw me off :) Loving the progress on this cowl. Looking at yarns now to start one of my own. Have a lovely weekend!
ReplyDeleteI love the colour...perfect autumn winter knitting. I must check out this pattern as I'm on the look out for cowls now there is a chill in the air.
