Weekends

in the comment section with a link to your blog.
This weekend I traveled to London, Ontario to visit my husband's parents. The weekend was jammed packed with activities. We managed to spend a bit of time in the downtown area. While walking I saw this fabulous artwork that begged to be photoed.
And that is the ONLY photo of the weekend :) I find wall art on this grand scale amazing. I cannot even begin to imagine the planning, the scaffolding and the amount of paint that goes into these creations.
My weekend contained:
-seeing the trees in PA, NY and ONT in the beginning leaf color changes
-hours of knitting, car knitting and talking knitting.
-seeing my breath while taking a walk because the air was chilly
-missing my dog every time I saw someone walking their dog
-getting through the border going up and coming home, lickety split....unheard of!
-oh, I was unplugged, no cell phone use and no internet except for a quick email check at a bookstore using the free wifi
How was your weekend?
I am always in awe of wall art too, not something I see much of around here. I'm glad you had a fun weekend, but I know Frodo must be glad you're home.

Our weekend was great! We had a fun reunioun with our youngest grand kids after being gone for 2 weeks and marveling at the changes in them during our absence. We are just about back in this time zone and enjoying being home after a wonderful adventure.
ReplyDeleteSounds like a fun, but busy, weekend. Travelling to another country always forces you to unplug for a bit. Happens to me every time I'm back home in the States. Glad you could enjoy the trees up here - they are starting to look pretty fabulous!
ReplyDeleteaahhh un unplugged weekend perfect! I love wall art too.
ReplyDeleteMy weekend was spent in the gardening listening to my audio book - The Roots of the Olive Tree. I'm enjoying it so far.

I would love to be living just above the mouth of the big bird... I could direct my friends to find me at the tasty end of a big snack, to be found being devoured by a rather galah looking plume of feathers ...just look to the room above the snappy beak... you get the picture.
ReplyDeleteI love both the wall murals. Looks like a fun place to walk through
I love to see wall art it brightens the drabness of city buildings.
ReplyDeleteonce again....i'm living your life....we traveled to see family, we unplugged, we found more color and coolness than at home, and I missed my dog. (boy, was he glad to see us!!!!!!!) (I didn't find any cool art work, though----that always amazes me, too, that someone can get those proportions at that scale!)
ReplyDeleteYou were in Ontario this weekend! Sounds like a good weekend, glad you enjoyed safe travels. Have a great week!
ReplyDeleteIt sounds like a perfect weekend to me! I would love to travel somewhere in the fall and see the foliage change. Fall has made an appearance here this weekend, our overnight lows were right around 40 and the high on Saturday in the mid 60's. Pretty windy as well which meant I was outside raking piles and piles of pine needles. Our fall break starts today and we are ready to go! :-)
ReplyDeleteMy heart skipped a little beat when I saw you were in "London" before I saw the "Ontario" bit :-) That art is amazing! I am so glad you had a nice visit & I am sure Frodo is glad you are home!!
ReplyDeleteOur weekend wa a nice, slow October one! http://ihappyree.blogspot.com/2014/10/weekending.html
