Scrap Sock Blanket Additions


The blogging community is a wonderful place, don't you think so?  I love meeting all of you through comments, blog hopping and visiting, through exchanges of personal emails,  I love how supportive all of you are when someone is being challenged in health or life or maybe in knitting. All wonderful!  
Stephanie over at woolythyme blog sent me a lovely package of sock yarn scraps to make sure I keep knitting this blanket. Or wait, maybe I'm to finish this blanket....I'm sure Steph will pick which one it is in the comments when she sees this. Anyways, yarn mail is the bestest mail in the whole wide world.

So thank you Stephanie, with each stitch I'll be thinking of you :)

    as you look at that....you may be asking....where is all the grey!!!? (hee hee....couldn't bear to part with it!!!); actually, I only sent a little because I thought you were 'almost' done and just needed that last little push to the finish line. Going to knit on to king size bed size? PLEASE let me know so another package can be sent!!!

    Knitting bloggers are great, I agree! (So are the quilting and stitching ones, too.) Love your blanket and that pattern is on my list which just keeps getting longer by the day. Have to knit faster, I guess.

    Oh my goodness what a great idea! Knitting socks is my favorite thing and I do have so many sock yarn scraps that I was not sure how to use. I think a blanket is the perfect idea. I love reading your blog!

    Oh, so beautiful! You have me thinking about a scrap blanket, but I am not sure much of my yarn is of the same weight...sounds like a good excuse to start some new projects and keep the leftover yarn!

Knitting News

  Good morning to you! How are you? I'm excited about my hat that I've been knitting enjoying the sea of stockinette stitches. When I first started the hat I thought it would be too small, now I wonder if it will be too big. Gah. I will find out soon I guess. I wish the photo about showed how beautiful the colors are in real life, you'll have to trust me on this! Below is my next knitting project, the habitation throw . I will definitely use the pink and gray, I'm still not sure about that purple, I might have a look-see in my stash and do another ponder about that color. I chose this pattern because I can use up some of my stash and I adore Helen Stewart's patterns. What are you working on this week? Also: I will probably not be posting this Friday and the following Monday because of my family visiting. I hope to be back next Wednesday (unless I change my mind).
