My favorite aunt treated us all to a girls only trip to NYC. My daughter and I joined up with my Aunt, my sister, two cousins and my one cousin's two daughters and we spent three nights two days doing everything that could be squeezed in. I'm exhausted!!
:: I rode a taxi, bus, subway, water taxi and a ferry.
:: I saw the rockettes and the lion king (!!!)
:: I was in the Upper West side, midtown, Battery Park, SoHo and Staten island.
:: I rode through the Lincoln tunnels to get there but didn't for coming home...GPS...you're crafty
:: Time Square is too crowded
:: I loved the dogs of NYC--so many being walked by their owners.
:: I am sore from head to toe and had to take more medicines.
:: My aunt was really really happy and that made me really really happy!
I'm woefully behind on blog reading so give me a week to catch up! I was completely blissfully unplugged.
How was your weekend??
Sounds like a wonderful action packed weekend. There is nothing like spending time with family. Seeing The Lion King must have been wonderful? Did you visit any yarn shops?
ReplyDeletesadly no. I had one across the street from the hotel but they were never opened early in the morning or late at night when I was close by. Next time I go I will visit many yarn stores.
DeleteI have always wanted to see the ROCKETTES!!! and I hear Lion King is amazing! So much fun.
ReplyDeleteWe went to the racetrack in suburban Arlington Heights with my fun Uncle Bill today.
Yesterday was warm enough to sit on my porch a good portion of the day> Hoooray.
im knitting mittens and reading blogs
I have to admit NYC has never been on my "must visit list", but the fact that you got to spend it with your daughter and family sounds wonderful to me. I can just imagine the visual overload... Have a great start into the week!

I haven't been to NYC in ages...I used to habitually keep my pointy ends of my knitting needles handy in case I needed to defend myself against any subway gropers. Very effectiveness.
ReplyDeleteWelcome home.
What an adventure...what a gift!
