-doing laundry trying to catch up
-finding a leak where the frig water line is connect
-finding out that there is not a shut off for that leak....(why!!)
-writing this post, accidentally deleting it and rewriting it
-sitting and knitting and getting into my zen state of mind
-enjoying Mass and chatting my church pew neighbors
-fun and full!
How was your weekend?
We had a wonderful weekend. Yesterday was spent with friends going on a bike ride. (The money raised was given to a women going through cancer treatments.) Today was spent at home, swimming, reading and relaxing. I wish I could add knitting, but just as I was about to start my new project, I realized I didn't have the right needles. Oh well, more time to finish the book I can't put down right now.
ReplyDeleteSounds like you had a bit of frustration, but weathered it well! We moved lots of books and I tried to figure out a new position to sit/lay/stand in so my shoulder wouldn't hurt. Got through about half of church and Sunday School before my should said, "Time to go home." Heard the news that a dear friends has lung cancer and then saw her at church trying flitting around with a big grin trying to cheer everyone else up. What a great example. Visitors from church will be here in a few minutes. Enjoy the coming week!
ReplyDeleteOh my dear friend, you have been on my mind all day. I hope with all the stress and hoop la that will take over your upcoming week that you take moments to just breathe, say a little prayer and knit some to relieve the stress. It's going to be a fantastic wedding.
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure, but I think the lovely flowers in your photos might be bachelor buttons? There will be one fewer bachelor after next Saturday! I'll be thinking about you and your family during this exciting milestone. Enjoy your zen state of mind!
ReplyDeleteHope you figure out a fix for your water line -- yes, why? Ugh.
ReplyDeleteSending prayers and a hug for all the details of the wedding to come together, for smooth, peaceful, grace-filled days leading up to the wedding. :)
Karen, my heart goes out to you...our daughter married and has since traveled all over Europe while the son-in-law pursued his PhD. Scotland is his post-doc; yes, we are saving and planning to visit in about a year. :) When the weather turns c-o-l-d you will need to get on a plane for a visit to your daughter, too!

we've got that same frig water line leak....we tried replacing some gizmo and it worked for awhile, but every now and again, i have to put a sponge on the grate to catch the overflow. Then it's OK for awhile, and we start all over again. If you figure yours out, please let me know!!!

We had the same thing happen to our refrigerator. And I wondered the same thing. And I was grateful that we were home so we avoided a big flood. Have a great week Karen.

We've had such bad luck with those water lines to the frig that we finally just disconnected it. No more water or ice in our side by side!!!!!!! Oh well, there are worse things... ruined hardwood floors!
ReplyDeleteI hope you have a good week as I know the wedding is coming up this next weekend.
