Currently on the Needles
My pullover and my cardigan are slowly making progress. I just finished the second sleeve of my cardigan and will be picking up the neckband today! I'm still thinking that I'll be wearing this pretty cardigan at a wedding at the end of the month :)
Oh my reading! I finished We are not Ourselves and it was spectacular. It is a sad book so read some reviews on Goodreads before you take the plunge. I enjoyed it, I thought that it could have been a shorter book but other than that, a great read.
I'm now reading The Girl on the Train on my kindle. I only just started so I have no opinions.
What are you knitting and reading this week?
Joining Ginny and Frontier Dreams
I almost started We are not Ourselves yesterday, but needed something more upbeat, I can't 'do' sad right now.
ReplyDeleteI did read The Girl on the Train and it wasn't bad.
Have fun picking up the neckband, I think you will make your wedding goal.
Lovely both. I can't wait to see the sweater finished- wanting to knit that pattern, I have knit the cardi you will love it it's so easy breezy to wear- happy continued knitting.
ReplyDeleteLovely knits. I really love the colour of your cardigan and it looks so soft and light. I have We Are Not Ourselves on my list as well, but it's a long list!
ReplyDeleteI am knitting my first citron shawl and it is such an easy knit. It's so light weight, it'll be perfect for late summer/fall.
ReplyDeleteBoth of your knitting pieces look VERY fine, very smooth.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful knits! With with as fast as you knit I'm sure you'll have it done for the wedding!
ReplyDeleteGirl on the Train...all i can say is "be ready to not get any work done once you start reading!" enjoy !!
ReplyDeleteI will have to look up Girl on the Train, sounds interesting.
ReplyDeleteLook at those nice warm sweaters! I really have to check out Goodreads. I bet it would help with my lack of reading these days...
ReplyDeleteI see A LOT of people on the airplane reading Girl on The Train. It's on my list of books to read.
ReplyDeleteYour cardigan is coming along so nicely! It will be very nice to wear to a wedding :)
ReplyDeleteI really enjoyedthe Girl on the Train, I think you will as well. I'm currently reading Colm Toiban's book, Brooklyn and loving it! The sweaters are looking gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful knits, love the colour of the yarn for the cardigan perfect for a Autumn wedding.
ReplyDeleteKNitting my 2 shawl shawl and my baby blanket.....still. But making progress
ReplyDeleteReading: nope
Two sweaters at once. How ambitious! I don't think my brain could handle that. Both are so far along!
ReplyDeleteI am enjoying the picture of the side by side sweaters! I just finished listening to Girl on the Train last week. I enjoyed it quite a bit more than the other "Girl" book. It was uncomfortable and I figured it out, but I still liked it. Also it was well narrated :) Currently I'm focusing on 2 pairs of socks I have on the needles. I have so many things I want to knit so I'm trying to narrow the focus ...
ReplyDeleteI really need to read Girl on The Train...must do soon :) Lovely knits Karen, I love both colours.
ReplyDeletelove the colors of both your knits. you’re so fast!
ReplyDeleteBoth of your projects look gorgeous and are coming along nicely, can't wait to see them finished.
ReplyDeleteLovely projects Karen ! I just finished my Acer Cardi and casted on Schoodic.
ReplyDeleteI am looking forward to this book very much now, Karen...I will read it next! Lovely knits...I am looking forward to wearing winter woollies : ) xx
ReplyDeleteYou are such a fast knitter! I'm on the list for Girl on the Train; at one time the list was 1050 people long! So it must be a popular read.
ReplyDeleteI'm happy for you that you read a solid, good book. I like these cozy colors for your pullover and for the cardigan. I've started a French mystery about the art world and am into more my historical romance novel. Knitting the same ol'.
ReplyDeleteI absolutely love the colors of both the pullover and the cardigan! Looks like fall :)
ReplyDeleteLove the colours of your pullover and cardi and fingers crossed the cardigan will be done in time, but sounds like you have time management well under control. I'm knitting on a shawl and reading The Bees.
