Healing Hat Complete


If you haven't knit the wurm pattern you probably should.  It's a satisfying knit and you will not be disappointed.  I finished this hat in less than 48 hours of casting on and my left forearm will never be the same.

Caution:  you should rest your hands and arms when the begin to ache.  Oh well, the slight discomfort I'm feeling was worth it.  My friend's daughter LOVED her gift and I know she will have fun wearing it when the cold weather arrives and stays.


The yarn is Malabrigo Arroyo and my, so squishy and lovely.  I will definitely knit with Arroyo again.

    Wurm has never been my favorite name for a pattern, but I love Healing Hat! May it do its job well.

    i love this pattern so much because it's particularly kind to your hair! (doesn't totally eliminate hat-head, but pretty close!)

    Wow that was quick. Love the nice deep welt on this hat. I'm thinking about hats and cowls now that I can feel autumn is in the air. I must check out your ravelry page for some more ideas.

    Yep, we would call that a crazy effort...knit till you drop. Nice finish, you put us all to shame!
    Wurm....its such a wurm and squishy kind of word, makes you feel all gooey and soft.

Knitting News

  Good morning to you! How are you? I'm excited about my hat that I've been knitting enjoying the sea of stockinette stitches. When I first started the hat I thought it would be too small, now I wonder if it will be too big. Gah. I will find out soon I guess. I wish the photo about showed how beautiful the colors are in real life, you'll have to trust me on this! Below is my next knitting project, the habitation throw . I will definitely use the pink and gray, I'm still not sure about that purple, I might have a look-see in my stash and do another ponder about that color. I chose this pattern because I can use up some of my stash and I adore Helen Stewart's patterns. What are you working on this week? Also: I will probably not be posting this Friday and the following Monday because of my family visiting. I hope to be back next Wednesday (unless I change my mind).
