Bluebird Mitts
Nicole of Singing of Hope blog asked for some test knitters for some patterns she wrote up a while ago, so I thought I'd give her a knitting helping hand. That's what knitters do!!
I dug deep into my stash and unearthed some wool and cast on. I'm having fun knitting with two colors and with some wooden needles. I find when I'm dpn-ing (shall we coin a knitting verb? double pointed needling....) they are kind to my hands.
Ravelry notes are here.
As you may have guessed these mitts are for a holiday gift. Ho ho ho!!
how fun! love the red and the colour pattern it is becoming!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful just lovely work in classic colors
ReplyDeleteLovely!
ReplyDeleteI love how the red pops against the light grey. Are those little eyes I see there?

ReplyDeletelooking amazing! :) i'm very much a circular needles kind of girl - I always get funny bumps in my tension when I use DPNs, you are doing an amazing job though :) jenny xxx

ReplyDeleteI love them, and the colours are amazing!
ReplyDeleteVery pretty, and kind of nostalgic as those colors were our high school ones, and that was really a very long time ago!
ReplyDeleteVery nice!
ReplyDeleteThese are brilliant!
ReplyDeleteOh, I love the colors you chose for this project!
ReplyDeleteI love your mittens so much!! I'm so glad you're test-knitting for me :)
ReplyDeleteI love the red and grey... beautiful pattern indeed. I always knit with wooden or galvenized bamboo needles. It's what I learned with and because of it, I find metal needles very splippery.
