Hello! I've been knitting fast and furious this past week. All good, and all fun. First off is the top down cardigan that is speeding along. I've separated the sleeves off a day ago and now I'm onto the body. So much knitting fun. On the left is a cowl that I cast on a few days ago. The yarn was a gift from my sister. I hope to have this finished by the weekend.
I'm still reading Life as We Knew It, and I'm nearly half way through. It's okay, the novel is written in diary format and the narrator is 15-16 years old. I have a feeling nothing is going to get better with the moon closer to the earth, but you never know!!
What are you knitting and reading this week?
Joining Ginny and Frontier Dreams
With this cold weather you are getting in some great knitting time, you will be modeling your sweater before we know it ;)
ReplyDeleteKnitting with gifted yarn is a treat...always makes me think of the giver as I knit.
ReplyDeleteloving those two colors....and loving them together, too!!! (sister has great taste!! lucky you!!!!!)
ReplyDeleteI love the colours as well - glad you are getting lots done! I put that book on hold at my library last week - sounds like a fairly easy, interesting read.
ReplyDeleteA new sweater and a warm cowl - just in time for the winter weather that is happening. Our cowls look very similar. I bet you have that sweater finished by early next week.
ReplyDeleteYay for fast warm projects! Since winter has finally arrived you'll be all set.
ReplyDeleteI absolutely love the earthly colors of your projects! Lately I am really drawn to these shades!
ReplyDeleteThat looks like it will be a nice warm sweater!

ReplyDeleteWhat beautiful yarn from your sister, such a thoughtful gift.
ReplyDeleteI am finishing up Julia Quinn's much talked about series and debating what I should read next...an author I haven't tried yet? The next book in The 39 Clues Series? Harry Potter #6? I have to finish up my swap partner's gift today while working on laundry.
ReplyDeleteLove those two colors together. I was fine knitting socks these past weeks until we had snow today. Now I wish I'd spent more time on my Boxy pullover.
ReplyDeleteOnce again, your knitting looks beautiful!

ReplyDeleteReading: need a read....need a read....

ReplyDeleteI wonder how many cardis you have started and finished since I cast on my Hitofude! You are a knitting machine!! I live your colors, both of them.
ReplyDeleteI seem to be stuck in gift knitting and YA reading, but I'm not complaining, it's all moving forward in a good way :) I like the two colorways you're knitting up!
ReplyDeleteGetting yarn as a gift is the best!!!
ReplyDeleteNice projects! I've started another pair of socks, trying to use some leftover sock yarn because I just love it so much. Hopefully I'll have enough to finish a pair, if not, I'll have to get creative. ;-)
ReplyDeleteHa. Love your book review. You ARE getting some good knitting time in this past week! Expecting snow up there?
ReplyDeleteYou always knit with the greatest colours! I must put that book into my list to read now - I'd already forgotten after seeing it on IG. :-)

ReplyDeleteI just love top down sweaters. You are right! They are just so much fun to knit.
ReplyDeleteYour yarn is gorgeous. Hope you are not getting too much of that huge storm!
I love the colors of the yarns that you are knitting. I have never knitted a top down sweater, but it is on my list. I just finished knitting a bottom-up vest and I really liked that concept. Enjoy your knitting!
ReplyDeleteWhew, I just finished John Adams about 10 minutes before the book club arrived! As for knitting I finished a birthday hat, and it's on my blog and soon to go to its new owner.
