Pink Baby Blanket Complete


I'm happy to report that the baby blanket is finished and done.  I do love the way it turned out.  The yarn was Lion Ease cotton and I unearthed the skeins from deep deep stash.  I cannot remember when I bought it or where.  I do know that I paid only two dollars a skein :)


As you know, this is for Frodo's groomer who is a god send to us.  She grooms and she does behavioral training as well.  Frodo's last groomer was not his favorite at all and he had high anxiety.  The current groomer retrained him to LOVE being groomed!!   A miracle :)


So now that she is expecting her first baby, and a girl I might add, I wanted to do something special.  I also have on the needles a sweet little cardigan that will be done next week, I hope. She is due sometime in April so I have lots and lots of time.

    You are so sweet and she sounds like a winner! I knit a blanket using the same yarn several years ago for a friend's baby...so, so soft. :)

    It's lovely! A wonderful groomer is such a fantastic person to have around, our groomer for Mystic and Abby is such a huge part of their lives.

    oh, karen, this turned out lovely.....and a good groomer is truly a godsend. poor Freddy....we finally found a great one and she died of cancer last year. :(

    It's a beautiful knit! I have used the Wool Ease. It's a nice alternative when you don't want to spend a bunch of money, and it holds up nice over time.

Knitting News

  Good morning to you! How are you? I'm excited about my hat that I've been knitting enjoying the sea of stockinette stitches. When I first started the hat I thought it would be too small, now I wonder if it will be too big. Gah. I will find out soon I guess. I wish the photo about showed how beautiful the colors are in real life, you'll have to trust me on this! Below is my next knitting project, the habitation throw . I will definitely use the pink and gray, I'm still not sure about that purple, I might have a look-see in my stash and do another ponder about that color. I chose this pattern because I can use up some of my stash and I adore Helen Stewart's patterns. What are you working on this week? Also: I will probably not be posting this Friday and the following Monday because of my family visiting. I hope to be back next Wednesday (unless I change my mind).
