Weekends
Weekends are for memory making,
relaxing and enjoying quiet moments of our days.
If you would like, please share your weekend moments
in the comment section with a link to your blog.
I'm posting early today because it's the Superbowl. Now don't think for one single second that I care about the Superbowl, you know, the game itself. I care about the food we will be sharing with friends who are coming over. I know I am only interested in the commercials and the half time show, and maybe some other folks do as well. My husband cares, really cares about the game if it's close, if it's a blowout well then he cares a little less.
My weekend was "deer" themed. Everywhere I turned there was a deer staring at me. And they are bold! I was lucky to get some photos while they stared me down, daring me to snap the camera. Friday night was dinner in because of my husband's crazy work schedule, he wanted to not go anywhere.
Saturday was a whole day at home as well. I did some knitting and reading. We watched a few more episodes of Merlin while multitasking. I added a few more inches onto that big blanket. Oh, thanks for all the lovely compliments about the blanket. I am going to try really hard to enjoy the process.
How was your weekend?
I spent a lot of time finishing my cardigan over the weekend and made it just before it got too dark to take at least a hasty photo. I did my first steek and then I had to put in the zipper and do lots of details. Now I am really glad to just lie back and do nothing...
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful day with family, friends and your "deer" friends"
ReplyDeleteenjoy the good food.
Went walking Saturday morning and this morning. Got lots of laundry done, some knitting, some smallish home projects... Feels like we got quite a bit accomplished this weekend. I don't really care about the game tonight either, like you, I'm in it for the commercials. ;-)
ReplyDeleteJust look at all your deer! It looks like a wildlife retreat!
ReplyDeleteI hope you are having a great time tonight and that you don't
stay up too late! Have fun.
I also just like the halftime show. We missed it while driving ...so I checked it it online once we got to our hotel. Don't tell, but Chris Martin is so handsome.
ReplyDeleteLove all those deer photos! You have such a serene woods around your place...similar to mine. My weekend was filled with painting and knitting and errands and the superbowl. Joining in this time -- yay! xo Lisa :)

Those dears taking a walk free are so beautiful! Such magnificent animals!
ReplyDeleteHow wonderful to see so many deer up close in the wild. I hope you had a wonderful time watching the superbowl (or maybe it was more the food & friends aspects). As a European that whole event is a little alien to me. I've had a pretty relaxing weekend, reading, working on cross stitch and going for a swim.
ReplyDeleteJust remember, the best part about making a blanket is that it keeps you warm while you are working on it!
ReplyDeleteWow! So many deer!
ReplyDeleteHere is a peek at my weekend: http://mamagonegreen.blogspot.com/2016/02/my-weekend_8.html
Love the deer. Our weekend was hawk themed. One in our congested suburb on my fence. The next day the carnage was all over the yard. Circle of life. I knit two hats this weekend. One for a friends daughter ha

ReplyDeletewe super-bowled with friends, too, and I had a really really hard time watching the game. No one there cared a lick. Fortunately, it was a pretty lousy game.
ReplyDeleteSaturday was busily prepping for New Year and Sunday was an oink fest.
ReplyDeleteHope you enjoyed the evening with your friends. Have a great start to your week.
ReplyDeleteLove it when the deer come in the yard. Yeah, not very interested in the game this year. Lots of good food though.
ReplyDeleteI love your deer! The Superbowl is always good for my knitting. I finished half a sock :)
ReplyDeleteI can't believe how fall like your area looks still. Are you guys getting some of the cold and snow we are getting this week? I sure hope so!
