Currently on the Needles

I bought both of these books over the weekend and I started both as well.  This is unusual since I take some time to get around to starting books (I have quite the "to read" pile in my bedroom).  I'm reading The Lake House in the evening and while I'm cooking dinner I read a few pages of The Once and Future King.  I'm excited about both reads but have no opinions as of yet.

My Leaf Cowl is almost done!  What a delightful pattern that knits up quickly and is pretty.  I just might cast on another one for the gift pile.  Also I started Silverleaf shawl to join in a lovely Knitalong started my the wonderful Tracey at Clover blog.  Care to join?  Please do.  Also we are keeping up with our projects on Instagram.

If you missed the post, I finished my Antarktis Shawl and posted here

What are you knitting and reading this week?

  3. I saw the silverleaf shawl on Tracey's blog. I think I am going to join the KAL. My knitting mojo is almost gone in the midst of 11 hour days at work and remodeling projects in the evening. But I need some knitting time!

  9. I've wanted to reread the once and future king ever since finishing h is for hawk....too many books, too little time!!! I went on a Kate Morton kick a few years ago and I think I read Lake House....obviously needs a reread, too...since I don't remember a thing about it. Oh, the joys of growing old!!!

  11. Oh my goodness- it is beautiful! And the beautiful lilac color too. Every time I see the Once and Future King in someone's book pile, I tell myself I need to read it, it looks so interesting...and then...I forget. Until I see it in someone's pile again. Note to self. :D

  18. It is always good to be excited about what you're reading and what you're knitting. I need to start Nora Roberts' The Obsession. I've been busy working on the husband's sock and my brother's Christmas one.
