my sister made the bunny and all of the chicks :)
Hello!  Another weekend has come and gone, can you believe that this Wednesday is Ash Wednesday?  Where does the time go?  Hmm.  A burning question.  I spent the weekend nursing a upper back spasm that just made me uncomfortable enough to complain but was not debilitating.

Theses back woes make me enjoy and love those days when I'm not even thinking about my back.  And to answer your question, I did nothing to cause it, nope, nothing at all.  I would never ever suggest it's from sitting and knitting ;)

I am feeling much much better today and I'm not even thinking about my back so that's progress.

So my knitting was minimal since sitting was the worse pain of all.  Instead, I decorated for Easter.  I did a food inventory for my what I need to shop for at the grocery store.  Took lots of walks in  the now 'back to cold winter weather'.  I'm not complaining about the cold!  It wasn't right to have almost 80 degrees in February (but it was nice!).

My laundry is finished, my house is somewhat clean.  I'm ready for this week!

How was your weekend?

  1. Karen, I am so sorry about the muscle spasm in your upper back. I can totally relate to that...just not recently. I am glad that you are feeling better this morning.

The bunny and chicks are really cute! Your sister comes up with the cutest things to make!

We had almost 80 degree weather here last week, too. Now it is 35 degrees as I type...the high for today being in the 40's. I don't mind the warmer temps in February, but our poor fruit trees are not going to be able to produce much, if any, fruit this year.

    Have a wonderful week!

  2. Love the chicks, hate the back spasm! I hope it's gone for good soon, especially because it interferes with your knitting.

  3. Have you tried wearing a Fitbit, Karen? It's easy to get in the habit of checking it every hour or so just to make sure some steps have been added. I'm glad your back is better today. I was over in Victoria this weekend visiting my grandchildren Lucy and Oliver. Always a delight!

  4. Ouch! Hope your back is better. You're right - the weather isn't natural - lol. We had 70+ degrees on Saturday before the storms rolled in. 30's on Sunday. This roller coaster is making me nuts!!

  5. I am so sorry to hear about your back, you and Gerard would make a great pair he is having trouble with his shoulders and has just had two injections to alleviate the pain. A quiet weekend doing very little. Love your Easter décor.

  6. Some days I think my back hates me and I'm sorry to hear you have trouble with yours, too. Your chicks are so cute and make darling decorations. The weekend was short and my house is not as clean as I had hoped, but it was a nice weekend, nonetheless.

  9. I love the bunny and chicks, so sweet! Our weekend was a nice balance of quiet and busy. We went to see a play on Friday night and Saturday night we went to a 60th birthday party. Sunday we just hung around the house! : ) Have a lovely week, Karen!

  10. I hope your back is better now. Ouchie! My husband had to see a doc like last week b/c he ended up brusing a disc while doing his deadlifts at the gym. Sometimes he gets lazy warming up and doesn't do it long enough. "I'm still a young buck," is his mentality. The chicks are cute! I like the fluffy bunny too. Jellybean would steal those from you.

  14. Reed is already quite excited about Easter and hypothesizing as to what the Easter Bunny may bring... Greedy kid. Or sugar addict. Hard to say.
