Flower Garden Lace Shawl
Yesterday, I was itching to cast on something different. I have plenty to keep me busy with my sweater and my long term shawl knitting and yet I felt the overwhelming urge to have another project on the needles. As a knitter, I find that two projects isn't enough. Three to four projects is my sweet spot. I love to have choices and I love to pick up each one, knit a bit and then turn to another project.
This knit picks lace yarn was gifted to me by a friend a few years ago and I'm thrilled to be using it this week. Stash diving is rewarding and saves me money (to buy more yarn). I am pretty in pink!
Ravelry notes here
Oh dear...I like that pattern a lot...looks pretty easy but beautiful. And gorgeous color for it. I "need" another project to cast on, so who knows?
ReplyDeleteThat is such a beautiful color and looks like a nice pattern also!
ReplyDeleteSuper stash diving!!! IT looks like its on a tiny needle. How delicate it will be!~
ReplyDeleteThat looks like it should be pretty and useful!
ReplyDeleteThese are fun colors. I commend you on wanting to knit with lace weight yarn.
ReplyDeleteKaren, I am swooning over that delightful yarn such a delightful colour. It has my name all over it.
ReplyDeleteSo that explains it!! And I thought I was the only one. I am currently crocheting 3 afghans, and I am fighting the urge to start something new (not an afghan!!).
ReplyDeleteI don't feel so alone now. :-)
I love stash diving, too. It is such a good feeling! That is totally my color! I like to be focusing on three or four projects too. Knitting ADD!
ReplyDeleteThat is a gorgeous color pink.
ReplyDeletePretty pattern. I currently have 3 projects on my needles, and unbelievably they are all for me. That has NEVER happened before. Finally, selfish knitting.
ReplyDeleteThat pink is beautiful! I think I do better with one or two projects, but that has never stopped me from having four or more cast on!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great colour! I think it is good to have more than one thing on the go at once!
ReplyDeleteso pretty! I just saw Bonny's post about the stargazer lily bloom and your yarn looks like a perfect match!
ReplyDeleteI love this color, Karen! I also love how your blog has developed over the years and admire your consistency (something I'm sorely lacking lately). I can't wait to see how this shawl turns out! x
ReplyDeleteOh that shawl is going to be beautiful! Yes, pink is definitely a great color for you!
ReplyDeleteI am the same, have to have at least 3 or more projects on the go, love the variety etc. That pattern is gorgeous and so is the wool, looking forward to seeing more of it as the knitting progresses.
ReplyDeleteSuch a pretty pink! I love stash diving.
ReplyDeletenice color! so bright. I know what you mean, it is fun to have a few projects on the go at once, if I get bored of one then I can switch to the other.
ReplyDeleteWhat a happy happy color! I love knitting from stash, it makes me feel accomplished!
ReplyDeleteThat will be very bright and pretty. I looked at your notes and I had already favorited and added the pattern to my library. Maybe shopping the stash should include my Rav library.
