Around Here

I'm having fun with my new gel pens and creating Christmas tags.  I'm sure you're not surprised at all that I cannot pass by a stationary store without going in and buying something.  My confession is simply this- I own too many:  pens, pencils, notebooks (empty and filled), note cards and loose paper.

I love to have options!  Imagine my delight when I discovered I needed, seriously needed white, silver and gold pens.  Gah.  Off to another art store, browsing all the goodies that I do not need.

my sister-in-law made me washcloths so I had to copy her and make the same kind
A mini health update:  I continue to feel better every day (not fast enough but that's just me) and next week is the last week of physical therapy.  I'm ready to free up some time, you know, for knitting.  Well, some free time, I do have that gym thing going on as well.  Friday is my first for real session, wish me luck, I'm nervous.   Stepping outside my comfort zone is so difficult.

I'm hoping the blocking of this shawl makes it spectacular
I've been thinking about our knitting community and how nice it is.  I love to read your blogs (if you have one) and seeing what you are doing.  We all knit but we are diverse on what we knit.  So thank you for your blog posts and sharing your daily life.  Also thanks for reading and commenting here on my blog.

calendars made at shutterfly are great gifts to give

  2. I always think that purchased tags aren't big enough to write on, but it never occurred to me that I should make my own. And of course I'll need shiny new pens! I'm glad you're feeling better and I'm sure you'll do great at the gym.

  3. I like your Christmas tags and enjoy making them too. When I was a girl, my mom would give me her old Christmas cards and I would cut them up into gift tags and use them to make ornaments. Good luck at the gym!

  8. I love those tags. I have never made my own. I do love gel pens though. I really like that washcloth yarn what a pretty color. I just received some Shutterfly coupons, but I have never used their services. I might try that this year.

  16. My kids would love to play with your pens. I need to get my own set of thin Sharpies as the girls can be rough on the set we share. I do like seeing fresh notebooks at DAISO and flipping through them.
Aw, bummers on no kids ringing for candy in your area but oh well, you have a beautiful backyard to explore and great walks to embark upon. We'll see what the baby wants to be next year and if the teen even wants to dress up.

  18. The tags look good! I love to make these little touches for Christmas, and making it magical for my boys. It takes very little and they appreciate it so much!

  19. I LOVE pens! Office supplies in general, but specially pens and notebooks. I could supply the entire US population with pens for the next 40 years and still have a few left over. And my favorite pink pen ran out of ink last night so I need to go pen shopping.... I'm a little jealous over your gift tags. I have to use stickers when I make mine because although I own the pens, my drawing skills are pathetic. Totally & completely pathetic!
