Knitting News
I have the same two projects on my needles - my son in law's sweater and a pair of socks. Naturally, I forgot to photo the progress of those so you'll have to use your imagination. I received for Christmas from my husband a mitten kit from Tanis Fiber Arts because Steph mentioned the kit.
Ah, knitters who enable knitters, what could be better than that?
a lovely unexpected gift from a dear friend, thank you! |
In my defense, my house is full of family and I'm still in the throes of cooking, cleaning, planning menus, kitten care, Frodo loving, etc... I haven't had much time to knit or remember to take photographs.
all ready for me! |
Your yarn colors will play so nicely together! I have yarn to play with too. BUt first, we are off to help at the very cold barn this morning. Must cure my blues with horse happiness!
ReplyDeleteThose colors are very cheery and don’t worry, we will still be here when you are finished entertaining ;)
ReplyDeleteWhat great yarn you have ready and waiting for you when guests depart and things calm down. A friend who gifts you with lovely yarn and matching gummy sharks is a friend indeed!
ReplyDeleteSuch great colors! Enjoy your holiday knitting!
ReplyDeleteAll the things you are doing are more important than photographing knits. We'll be here when the pix are ready.
ReplyDeleteThat blue yarn is amazing!
OOOOOoooohhhh! Such beautiful little prizes! Promises of fun to come. Family frenzies are the very best! Enjoy and we'll be here when they are all back in their worlds! ;) blessings ~ tanna
ReplyDeleteLovely yarn colors, very inviting for a knit! You also reminded me I have some fizzy gummy coke bottles in my file cabinet in the cube. May need to tap into that secret stash later. It is after all a long quiet week. Gotta have fuel. Enjoy your family and your time together. The knits will always be there :)
ReplyDeleteI don't know how you find time to do everything you do and get so much knitting done! :)
ReplyDeleteThe yarn is so pretty. Sometimes it is nice just to look at the yarn for awhile. No hurry for blog photos. Treasure the time with your family.
ReplyDeleteThe yarn looks yummy!! Good luck with winding down your holidays!
ReplyDeleteThrilled to hear that your house is full of family and you are loving it. The yarn looks wonderful, beautiful colours.
ReplyDeleteTanis dyes lovely yarn - can't wait to see those mittens!
ReplyDeleteLucky you to get that mitten kit from Tanis! I love her yarns. And her patterns are always so well-written.
ReplyDeleteYarn matching gummy fish?? Can't wait to find out what those really are. Other knitters make the most wonderfully dangerous friends, don't they? :) Can't wait to see what mitten pattern you use. The colors are awesome!
ReplyDeleteGold star for the husband who bought his wife yarn for Christmas! I like that moody blue yarn from Ireland.
ReplyDeleteI hope you enjoy getting started on the kit! The yarn you were gifted is so nice and those candies look tasty. Happy knitting!
ReplyDeleteAll good things, Karen!
ReplyDeleteMy knitting time has been suffering of late. I am craving a long, four-hour binge!
