Weekends
Super early post for Super Bowl Sunday. I'm not a fan of football or any sport if I'm truthful but I'm married to someone who does love sports. So tonight I'll be passively watching the game. I toyed with writing tomorrow morning but I'm babysitting and that would be a time crunch. So here I am.
Thank you for all the well wishes on my cold and remedies. I sat almost 48 hours trying my best to stay hydrated and quarantined myself. So how am I? I guess a bit better - however, my back is hurting from all the sitting! Drat. Being inactive is a hazard to my physical well being. That and a couch and love seat set that probably needs to be replaced. I'm not in the mood to shop for a new set.
During the daytime, I drank many cups of Sweet Dreams by Bigalow, funny - it never makes me drowsy I just love the flavor. In the evening I had my usual cup of green decaf tea. Throughout the weekend I craved soup and had lots of soup.
Today I'm trying my best to stay off the sofa until the evening. I'll let you know how that goes. Sitting at the kitchen table isn't much fun for hours on end. I have every intention to resume my gym session on Tuesday and hopefully be able to get back on track with my exercising. I am positive I'll be fully recovered by then!
Mary had a photo of her creative space so I decided to snap a photo of mine. This is where I sit most of the time when I am knitting. Here is a photo of hers. Do you have a special spot where you sit? I bet most of us do.
Anyways, I hope you are still enjoying a wonderful weekend and if you are in the U.S. I hope 'your' team wins.
We are going to a party for the game, so I am taking knitting with me. I am for anyone playing the Pats! LOL
ReplyDeleteHope you are fit and well real soon. Your "spot" looks super
ReplyDeleteI love my husband -- but not enough to watch sports with him!
ReplyDeleteI love your cozy corner. If I tried to balance my tea like that, it would end up on the floor, the cup shattered. Coordination is not my strong suit!
You certainly do have a cosy spot, mine is a little boring an old armchair by the stove.
ReplyDeleteWe are going up to my mum's in a hour. I love your vintage lantern lights. I usually knit here in a dining area chair or on the couch.
ReplyDeleteLove your knitting nest. Mine is quite similar. AND, we have started the search for a new sofa and love seat for the same reason. But, so far, we have been unsuccessful, it is so hard to find something comfortable for both of us and that we both like. LOL! Kind of like Goldilocks. Oh, how I feel your sitting pain. I tell my brother that we can't sit too long or we'll go down. Unfortunately, all my favorite pastimes are sitting... knitting, crochet, reading, painting. We must keep moving so we can sit and knit! ;) Hope you are all better by now. blessings ~ tanna
ReplyDeleteI hope you back relaxes soon. My weekend was full of knitting https://chasingstories.wordpress.com/2018/02/05/weekending-knitallthethings/
ReplyDeleteHope your back feels better soon. I imagine a trip to the gym will do it wonders. Love your coffee cup! :)
ReplyDeleteI do not currently have a "spot" to call my own. With grandma moving to the Assisted Living facility we are going to be making a lot of changes around the house. Maybe after that I will get my own "spot".
ReplyDeleteThanks for the shout out! Your space looks quite comfy, but I'm surprised there's no lamp! I do hope you beat that cold, and I'm sure a day or two of moving around will get your back back to rights. (well, hopefully, right?)
ReplyDeleteYour husband must be happy.. or is he a Steelers fan?
ReplyDeleteI'm not much for football either.. I stayed and watched till the half time show and then made my way upstairs.
Good to hear you are starting to feel better.. hopefully soon the aches and pains will go away too
Hope your cold disappears real soon! Love the photos of your two sweet pets. Did you get a lot of knitting done during that exciting game? It was good to see someone finally beat the Patriots!
ReplyDeleteHI HOlly!! I love your sitting/reading knitting spot
ReplyDeleteYour cozy spot looks lovely. Mine is quite similar. The corner of a love seat next to an end table. My formula for a cold is two days to get the cold, two days to have it, and two days to get rid of it. Sometimes it even works that way.
ReplyDeleteHope you are feeling better by now! Your cozy spot looks lovely...I would probably dump the tea on the floor though (clumsy I am). I'm not a sports fan and neither is my husband. fortunately though the Eagles won and, as a result, my office was closed yesterday! I managed to get some knitting done AND take a nap. it was wonderful!
ReplyDeleteGlad you are feeling better, try stretching a little bit to help your back, it won't take too much of your energy! I usually knit at my desk or in bed :)
ReplyDeleteAre those Christmas lights that are in your lanterns in the first photo? I love it!
