Weekends
Our daughter and son in law were here over night for a dear family friend wedding. Our daughters were friends through middle school and high school. Once the kids grew up, we continued to be friends through out the years.
The wedding was my first outdoor wedding!
All week the news station called for rain and by a miracle, the weather was picture perfect.
peace! |
I ate, I danced, I celebrated and had a ton of fun. I'm exhausted! I must say it's more fun to attend a wedding than to plan a wedding :)
another selfie gone awry |
My family left this afternoon and I'm doing all those pesky chores: dishes and laundry!

ReplyDeleteNot near as fun as yours. You all look so beautiful! So glad you had a wonderful time.
ReplyDeleteSounds like a delightful weekend. Outs has been good, too.
ReplyDeleteMy weekend was quiet: knitting, reading, a few outings with friends. My favorite kind!
ReplyDeleteLove the photos of all of you. Looks like a lovely venue for a wedding. Best wishes to the new couple.
ReplyDeleteYou all look so beautiful and happy, a joy to visit.
ReplyDeleteYou look beautiful ! ( and that selfie looks fine, too ). Hope the pesky chores were quickly done with, leaving some knitting / reading time. Mine were, and I had a quiet weekend, which I like, actually.
ReplyDeleteThe wedding looks like so much fun ... as weddings should be! (and yes, a lot more fun to attend than to plan, for sure!) Hope you're well-rested and ready for the week!
ReplyDeleteWhat wonderful pictures! It looks like a great time.
ReplyDeleteI was sick all weekend, so I have nothing exciting to report ...
Great pictures! I love the one of you and your daughter. You both look beautiful. So glad the weather cooperated (for us too with a cookout on Saturday).
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun outdoor setting ! Yes they are more fun to attend than plan! Great photos of you all. My weekend was all that rain. But it is ok. I got a lot of knitting done!
ReplyDeleteWow, what a fun setting for a wedding! We are building a new home next year and my husband hopes that maybe one of our girls will use our new backyard as a site for her wedding! There is something about an outdoors wedding that is really special. xx
ReplyDeleteThat sounds like a pretty nice way to spend the weekend.

What a sweet and lovely wedding. Now, it must be mentioned that you seem to be getting younger in every picture I see you. You need to post your secret. :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful weekend. Amen to the "it is more fun to attend the wedding of a good friend or family member than to plan the wedding." But still I love weddings with all the promise of life to come. I love the photo of you and your daughter. Perfect.
