Good morning! How are you doing? Well, my knitting has been keeping me busy and sane. I am languishing in the wonderfulness of endless stockinette stitching of my
cotton cardigan while reading
Middlemarch at the same time. What is nice is sitting outside by the pool while doing it! Yes, the pool is looking good but it's still too cold to swim in for me. We did our first 'foot dangle' yesterday. Brr.
I'm also enjoying working on the
shawl I started a while ago. This is my TV knitting project because I can mostly watch TV and only occasionally need to do a lacework row every now and then.
What are you working on this week?
Look at all that lovely pink knitting! My knitting is very muted and when I do buy yarn again, I really need to brighten up my stash.
ReplyDeleteI like your cotton cardigan; it reminds me of cotton candy! I'm working on dishcloths. They feel like the perfect kind of knitting now, and I've had requests, so I'm imagining all the friends and family that will be using them soon.
ReplyDeletePretty in Pink! Love your projects. I'll bet thta pool water is too cold. Ha! I'm working on the same things I always work on: socks, a shawl (Hitchhiker this time) and now Granny Squares too!
ReplyDeleteHooray for Pink!!!!
ReplyDeleteAnd Re: your comment on my blog........ A scarcity of Cooking Spray. Oh my Dear, do you still use Cooking Spray? Look at the label... It is full of horrid chemicals!!!!
Please! For baking, rub a little old fashioned butter, on the pan, to coat it. Yes, Butter. Margerine is baddddd, and full of hydrogenated stuff and etc. It has been de-bunked, as a bad replacement, for butter, for some time.
Please.... Read up on these things, if you don't want to go, on my say-so.
Gentle hugs,
✨ ✨ ✨ ✨
All that beautiful pink, such a joy both projects are a delight. I am big on sewing at the moment keeping the knitting and crochet for the evening. A blanket and knitted hats.
ReplyDeleteYour sweater is going to be wonderful! I love the pink. I am working on my shawl exclusively. I can sit on the back porch after dinner and get a few good hours in. I'm trying to be careful and not make a costly timely mistake again!
ReplyDeleteThose are both such lovely shades of pink, even if they are at different ends of the spectrum!
ReplyDeleteI like how you're knitting with so much pink!
ReplyDeleteI love the pink cardi...so pretty!
ReplyDelete~Have a lovely day!
I love the pattern of that cardigan. The yarn you are using for the shawl is such a pretty color. Enjoy your knitting. I hope it gets warm enough for the pool soon. Ours isn't open yet.
ReplyDeleteI love all the spring pinks in your knitting. That cardigan is going to be great - well so is the shawl - but I've been looking at the little pullover in the same design. I have never knit a cotton sweater but this might be the summer to try. I listen to audiobooks and podcasts but have never quite mastered reading and knitting at the same time. You go girl.
ReplyDeleteOh to sit by a pool and knit, that would be lovely.........
ReplyDeletePink is such a hopeful color, so soft and beautiful. Enjoy.
ReplyDeleteI absolutely love Helen Stewart's shawl patterns - I want to knit them all! I love your gorgeous pinks.
ReplyDeleteI can't wait until we can dip our toes in our pool. Ours is above ground and we are awaiting the arrival of a new liner. I'm starting to think it may be next summer before we get it up and running. Meanwhile, I sit by an empty pool and pretend. Both your projects are beautiful. No pretending there! :)
