Knitting News
Good morning! I thought I'd share with you the progress of the wedding shawl which is nearly two-thirds of the way completed. I just wound up the last skein of yarn and I am making the eighth wedge out of ten total. The beading row now takes me two evenings to do.
This is a wonderful knit and I will be sad when it is finished. In other knitting news that is not photographed - I am on the second sock for my daughter's Christmas socks. Remember I have a grand knitting plan of knitting the kids and the significant others each a pair of socks.
That is one STUNNING shawl! And two nights to do one row??? Amazing. I unraveled a lot (and will unravel more today). but I have yarn waiting to be cast on!
ReplyDeleteThat shawl is really lovely and you've given me some new perspective! I'm often disappointed with my own slow knitting progress but I can see that your two-evening beading rows require patience. What a beautiful labor of love!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful shawl. I have those sleeves that need to be knit but I cast on a hat - avoidance or procrastination?
ReplyDeleteOh the shawl is spectacular. One if the new projects I started is a beaded shawl. You are right in the fact the placing of the beads takes time but, it is so worth it in the end. I am working on socks and mug rugs this weeks. Not being at home means I need portable projects.
ReplyDeleteIt is coming along beautifully! No projects here lately other than trying lots of new recipes. Have a great day :)
ReplyDeleteThat shawl is gorgeous! I can't imagine how beautiful it will be when it is finished. I'm working on a Tegna sweater.

ReplyDeleteYour shawl is stunning, I suspect you have finished it by now.....
ReplyDeleteThat shawl is perfect for a wedding - a knit full of love. I love that you are never in a hurry with your knitting but enjoying each stitch and row. A pair of socks for everyone - those are grand plans indeed but you are starting early. Let's see, I wove in the ends on the Touchstone Shawl this afternoon. Lately I am knitting a hat, a pair of socks, and today I cast on a cowl with my handspun!
