Weekends
Hello! This is a super quick post - my weekend was extended because we went to visit our son and future daughter in law in West Lafayette, Indiana. It was a VERY long drive. 10 hours going and 11 hours coming back. Sadly there was a major accident on one of the highways - so there was lots of sitting and fretting when will the traffic move.
It was nice to finally see his apartment and his town. Purdue University has a beautiful campus. No matter where we went everyone was wearing masks, including the outside.
I'm glad to be home (best bed ever) and I'm playing catchup with my messy messy house.
So glad you got to see them and their apartment. 10 hours though...that's LONG. Glad you are back safely and sorry for the traffic snafus.
ReplyDeleteGreat photos! That's a really long trip, hope you enjoyed. Welcome home :)
ReplyDeleteSorry for the long travel times, but glad you got to see your son!
ReplyDeleteWhat a drive! That's like driving from San Francisco, CA to Vegas, NV. Cute pic of you and your husband holding hands.
ReplyDeleteyou are sweet! That is my son and his fiancé

DeleteSo glad that you were able to visit!
ReplyDeleteI live in West Lafayette too. As soon as the post came up I thought, "hey, I know that fountain, and that building and that street art!" Glad you had a nice visit.
ReplyDeleteI remember you saying that! You have a lovely town
DeleteAhhh, what fun! Sending you all the "get it in order" mojo for your house (although, I am sure you have it well in hand!)
ReplyDeleteOh Purdue. Im so glad you got to see them. I want to see my kids so badly. Al is a 12 hour car trip plus. How much of it did you drive.
ReplyDeleteHow wonderful to be able to catch up with your son and see his new home. I am sure it was worth the hardship of the long drive. I am not good in a traffic jam either. You will soon catch up Karen, tomorrow is another day. Take care.
ReplyDeleteI am so glad you were able to visit your son and fiance'. It always makes me feel better when I have visited and seen the place where my kids live. Then I can imagine them in their setting when they are talking about their home. I bet you have your house under control by now. It's nice to go and nice to come home.
