Knitting News

Good morning! How are you and how are your knitting projects or other works in progress?

I've been in a knitting frenzy this week. I started a new project, a top down sweater that is the last photo. It would have been the first photo if Blogger would upload my photos in the correct order. This sweater has been such a delight to cast on! I get excited each afternoon when I pick up and knit a few rows.  I'm using yarn from my stash which permits me to buy more yarn right?

The above photo is a hat a started earlier this month and haven't spent much time working on it. I decided to photo the project and add it to my Raverly notes so I remember that I should be working on this beautiful hat.

Lastly, I will be finishing the last sock of the last pair of holiday gift knitting. I estimate that I will be done in three days. I'm so excited to reach my knitting Christmas goal!

What are you working on this week?

  3. Lovely sweater you've chosen to knit, and I like your colors. Meanwhile the socks and the just-started hat are pretty too - it all looks cozy to me! Enjoy the holiday!!

  4. How nice to have your gift giving knitting completed by Thanksgiving! The hat probably won't take a long time to finish up. Which leaves lots of time for sweater knitting. I am working solely on my Reyna when I have time. Today is bread baking day as well as making some sweet treats for tomorrow. That sure does cut into my fiber fun lol.

  8. Yikes! I need to get knitting. I still have a few gifts left to knit -- and Hanukkah comes earlier than X-mas.
Looking forward to watching your sweater take shape!

  9. Hooray for almost reaching your Christmas knitting goal. I'm anxious to see that sweater (from stash - no less) take place. It's pretty much hats and mittens around here but that is ok. While the grandchildren still like them, I am happy to knit them. They look forward to their Grammy mittens.

  10. Good job almost reaching your knitting Christmas goal! the socks look great and love the hat so far. I am behind on my knitting and goals since moving took a lot of time, but I will be working on the hat and scarf to finish them hoping by next week. Take care! Happy Thanksgiving.

  11. Great job! I , like most , I think, have the hardest time at the beginning of the top down one piece sweaters. I love your hat yarn and you are a present wiz! I'm still knitting a shawl. But, I'm decreasing. I had a lot of goals this week that infringed on my knitting time. They were important and many are now DONE! I'm giving yarn for Christmas......to Al!

  15. I tried knitting socks one year. I was such a newbie and only know one pair fit. Dunno about the other two.
