Knitting News

Hello! How are you?

I'd love to tell you about how much I am knitting but that just isn't happening this week. My husband and I have been overly busy and as you know, some things get set aside for the busy. However, yesterday afternoon I had a blissful 2 1/2 hours of uninterruptedness and I knitted away on the second Christmas stocking while listening to some audio knitting podcasts.

What bliss! So today no matter how busy I am I will be returning to this project and giving myself permission to ignore the 'busy' and give myself a much needed break.

What are you working on?

Comments

  1. I'm working on my Hitchhiker, but like you, I've been busy and have barely worked on it at all this week. It's not good for my mental health when knitting gets set aside, so I also hope to have a blissful couple of hours this afternoon.

  2. The Hats for Winston project is underway, so if I have a minute... I sit at my machine and make some progress on the stack! :)

  3. Hi Karen,
...it looks like you made some good progress on your stocking...I'm still working on the grey socks with the limited yarn...haha...and I just started a project to complete a Bride Doll that's been in my workbasket for 20+ years...
    ~Have a lovely day!

  5. Don't let "busy" rule your life!! LOL Easy to say...not always easy to do. You are making good progress on the stocking and I hope you get some knitting time in this afternoon.

  6. I am glad you found some knitting time. Sometimes busy is necessary but not a lot of fun. I find I need a little knitting every day, even if it is just a row. I hope life settles down a bit. The pace of life is picking up little by little and I'm not sure I like all of it.

  8. Well I ended up frogging the shawl I was working on - I did a count and found myself 20 stitches short! I have no idea how that happened! I don't regret the time spent on it, however, because it did provide me with a lot of practice with difficult stitches. Casapinka has lovely patterns but they sure can be complicated! I'm working on some embroidery for now but do have some other knitting projects lined up - including a baby blanket, even though none of my girls are expecting, LOL! Wishful thinking, I guess (although it may be because I know what a slow knitter I am; by the time I finish it ONE of the girls should be expecting, right?)!

  9. Uninterrupted knitting time is the best. Hope you can find more this weekend.

  10. I didn't get knitting done either this past week due to the teen's tennis schedule.
