Weekends

 

How was your weekend? Mine was and still is going strong. 

Of course, I could show you and talk about all the boxes I packed or have to pack but where's the fun in that? Instead, I'll talk about the teeny tiny bit of painting I did in my art journal. I bought another (!) watercolor pan paint set and had fun playing with them.

Yesterday, our son and daughter in law arrived for a two day visit and we took them over to the covered bridges where my husband and I hung out while the current house was being shown by realtors. I have fond memories of being there with Frodo and a packed lunch in the pouring rain in 50 degree weather. I'll miss those bridges when I move.

Today is more visiting before they leave and head back to Indiana. Once again I'll resume packing boxes. We are ahead of schedule and going strong! Oh and we are on the eleventh SUV car donation load, could there be a twelfth? Perhaps.

    How sweet a visit you had. Covered bridges are awesome. Sounds like your packing is moving along well. Hopefully your house will sell soon and you will be able to start your new adventure.

    Sounds like you had a nice weekend amidst the packing! Ours was good, with a reunion with my former literacy workers and yesterday a farewell to our long time church organist. This afternoon we are headed to our younger daughters for a double birthday celebration. I got to come home from the hospital with our brandnew son on this day a fair while back; he was a special birthday gift!

    Great photo of the four of you. What a handsome one your son is! House showing are so full of promise. Overtime someone came to see our house, it was quick. Our realtor, told us to just pull the car across the street and watch. We could tell if they were interested or not very quickly. It was interesting. it only takes on bid!

    Karen, what a great weekend! My weekend was spent getting my mom's condo ready for showing. She has decided to move into an independent living community. Keep your fingers crossed for us that it sells fast! : )

    ...I absolutely love covered bridges...and go out of my way to visit them whenever we're near one...and visiting a covered bridge with family...even better...

Knitting News

  Good morning to you! How are you? I'm excited about my hat that I've been knitting enjoying the sea of stockinette stitches. When I first started the hat I thought it would be too small, now I wonder if it will be too big. Gah. I will find out soon I guess. I wish the photo about showed how beautiful the colors are in real life, you'll have to trust me on this! Below is my next knitting project, the habitation throw . I will definitely use the pink and gray, I'm still not sure about that purple, I might have a look-see in my stash and do another ponder about that color. I chose this pattern because I can use up some of my stash and I adore Helen Stewart's patterns. What are you working on this week? Also: I will probably not be posting this Friday and the following Monday because of my family visiting. I hope to be back next Wednesday (unless I change my mind).
