Weekends

 


My weekend contained:

- pizza with a side salad - starting new knitting projects (!) - resting more - room for reading (finally) - outing with my sister -  dinner with my sister and brother in law - almost getting my weekly chores back on schedule - Frodo snuggles - hanging pictures in all of the rooms - getting down to the very last boxes to unpack (not including the garage!) -

    Bravo to you! What great accomplishments! We savored some Olympics this weekend... it was such fun!

    I'm glad to hear that you have accomplished so much and are getting back "on schedule". You're really moved in when you hang pictures! My weekend involved helping John and Justin roof the shed, but thankfully I was just the "go-fer" and didn't have to climb a ladder.

    If pictures are being hung, then you are almost all moved in. Garage boxes don't count lol. My weekend was spent knitting baby clothes making bread and going to Mass.

    The pizza looks delicious. If you are hanging pictures you are close to being done with unpacking. Hooray. My weekend was nice - two walks, a latte on Sunday, some gardening chores in the evening, writing practice on Saturday morning, a little spinning, and some knitting.

    Sounds like you had a wonderful weekend full of good things. My weekend was good, I went out for dinner on a patio with my parents and went to a nearby park to walk around together. Yesterday I visited and spent the day with my sister and nephew. Then later had dinner on a patio with a friend. Take care!

    Such a great weekend! We returned home from our week in Vermont and spent the weekend catching up with the kids. My daughter and son-in-law took us out to dinner on Saturday night to thank us for letting them stay with us for the past three months. We had a great time. I'm going to miss them when they move!

My weekend happily contained: -wearing the above woolens all at the same time without being hot -so many walks and taking in the changing leaves. -a leaf shower on Saturday-the wind swirled the leaves off the trees up in the air to float down -changing screen savers to autumn themes! -a craft fair where my husband and I say "we could make that", but we don't. -french fries at the craft fair -scrambled eggs and toast for dinner because we were lazy. -football season has descended in my house. he was in the front room watching whatever is on today -I sat in the family room and watched A Tree Grows in Brooklyn .   Now I want to read it again. -Oh! I finished the socks!! Knitting News

  Good morning to you! How are you? I'm excited about my hat that I've been knitting enjoying the sea of stockinette stitches. When I first started the hat I thought it would be too small, now I wonder if it will be too big. Gah. I will find out soon I guess. I wish the photo about showed how beautiful the colors are in real life, you'll have to trust me on this! Below is my next knitting project, the habitation throw . I will definitely use the pink and gray, I'm still not sure about that purple, I might have a look-see in my stash and do another ponder about that color. I chose this pattern because I can use up some of my stash and I adore Helen Stewart's patterns. What are you working on this week? Also: I will probably not be posting this Friday and the following Monday because of my family visiting. I hope to be back next Wednesday (unless I change my mind).
