Weekends
Good morning! How was your weekend?
I have been bit by the knitting bug and have been working feverishly on the little baby blanket all weekend. On Sunday, my sister, aunt, cousin and goddaughter came over for a dinner on the back patio (my sister did all the cooking!) and we did a little bit of stitching. Of course I forgot to take a photo...
Yesterday I tidied up the house and did the laundry. I'm ready for another week! In some fantastic news this warm weather is supposed to end by Friday. Fingers are crossed that this becomes reality.
Someone asked me in the comments on my last post about what podcasts I listen to, here are a few that are audio: 2knit lit chicks, knitmore girls, what should I read next, literary disco (salty language!), yarniacs, cogknitive and caithness craft collective.
Do you all have any podcasts to recommend?
How was your weekend?
Thank you for the podcast recommendations! It sounds like you are settling in at your house! Yay!
ReplyDeleteI listened to one of the podcasts you recommended (What Should I Read Next) and really enjoyed it. I listen to a lot of podcasts too. Glad you had a good weekend. So glad you weather is cooling down. We had SNOW here over the weekend. Too early! See you again soon!
ReplyDeleteIt's wonderful that you are close enough to gather with close and extended family for dinner on the patio, especially when your sister does the cooking! I will be very glad when this warm weather ends. Mid-October is time for some real fall weather that sticks around!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the podcast ideas. I haven't caught on to this idea yet. I usually listen to music. You knitting looks great! How nice to be able to enjoy dinner with family.
ReplyDeleteWhen is the baby due? Will there be other hand knits for this child?Thank you for the podcast info. I will be trying some of them.

Away From The Blue
I mostly listen to NPR. Nice work on the baby blanket! It will be treasured.
ReplyDeleteHi Karen,
ReplyDelete...it's so pretty there...the leaves are just barely turning here in the NC foothills...where I grew up in the mountains...the "peak week" for colour has probably already passed...but it will probably be about the 1st or 2nd week of November here...still looking forward to that....and the cooler temps it will bring...
~Have a lovely day!
I enjoy the podcasts: Two Ewes Fiber Adventures and Yarns at Yin-hoo. Looks like the trees are turning near you. Today (Wednesday) we had a cool day - high of 63 with wind gusts but still it finally feels like Fall. Saturday we went to a grave-side service for the step-son of a dear friend of ours. The gentleman was only 39 years old so it was sad. Sunday was a better day with online church and coffee.
