Weekends
Good morning! How was your weekend?
My weekend was my birthday weekend!
To be honest though I've been celebrating for a few weeks. Why not? My sister and brother in law came over on Saturday for dinner and apple cake. Of course I opened presents as well.
Below in the photo are some of them. My sister crocheted the red basket and I received some books and pens from my husband (how did he know??). I also received some new rain boots to slip on and off quickly when I take the dog outside and a new tote bag.
I put up the little tree yesterday since our son and and daughter in law will be visiting mid week! I'm assuming Holly will not bring it down, fingers crossed.
How was your weekend?
Happy Birthday, and maybe you can get in a few more days of celebration! Best of luck with Holly and the tree!
ReplyDeleteHappy birthday and what a cheery red basket. I love my rain boots for quick trips out on a rainy day and for mucking around in the garden.
ReplyDeleteBelated wishes for a happy birthday!
ReplyDeleteHappy birthday! Sounds like such a nice weekend. Love that cheery red basket and your tree looks so pretty. I'm wondering what we should do (or not do) for decorations this year given the antics of Mabel!! Have a great visit with your son and daughter-in-law.
ReplyDeleteA very Happy Birthday! We put some lights up outside for the littles and hung a wreath....might be all I do this Christmas.
ReplyDeleteHappy birthday fellow Scorpian. We share a birthday weekend. So glad you had a good time. Mine was shared with family.🇬🇧
ReplyDeleteHappy happy birthday. Sounds like a lovely weekend. Mine was nice and quiet with intermittent knitting and baking. Our tree will be going up this weekend. We bought a new one so am pretty excited to see how it looks.
ReplyDeleteBest wishes for a much-extended (and most well-deserved!) birthday celebration!! I have those Sakura pens and LOVE them. How fun to have family visiting this week - and what a great reason to put up Christmas a little early.
ReplyDeleteI love your little Christmas tree! So cheery. So glad you had a nice birthday filled with family and thoughtful gifts. Enjoy the week ahead and Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours!
ReplyDeleteHappy Happy Birthday. I do think we should all celebrate a birthday month. The red basket is darling. Enjoy this week and best of luck with Holly and the tree.
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday! I love the tree. I hope Holly behaves. Your gifts are very pretty. I like that basket. Books are always great gifts. Enjoy your visit with your son and daughter in law.

ReplyDeleteHappy birthday! You got some lovely gifts and it's good you have been celebrating!
ReplyDeleteIt's so nice you have the tree up already too! I hope we can put ours up this weekend, although it's another busy one so not sure we will find time.
Hope that your week is going well! Another rainy spring one here!
