A Few Hats

I finished two hats early in January. The first one is the huskadoo hat which turned out lovely when it comes to stitch definition. If I made this one again I would go up a needle size since my knitting gets tighter whenever I work with cable patterns. A lovely pattern and a lovely knit for a quick project! Oh and this hat is for ME.

As I mentioned before I wanted to make a backup hat for the replacement hat for my son in law. I chose a muted pumpkin color for the backup to the backup hat. I hand delivered this hat while we were visiting them in Cambridge earlier this month and he loved it.

What are you working on this week?

  1. A nice warm hat is always useful this time of year, and these are very nice! I'm working on a Musselburgh hat for myself. I hope to finish it soon and I hope it fits.

  2. I have jumped on the Musselburgh bandwagon as well... and the knitting is slow but steady! I am happy to have gotten through the fiddly starting bits! :)

  3. Nice hats - love the cables on the one for you. Color of yarn for both is so pretty. I'm still working on my holiday sock (#2). I seem to be doing more stitching than knitting...but that's ok.

  4. I am trying to do some finishing so a hat and sock number two. Then I need to get some sleeves done on a sweater for my grandson. That yarn is so pretty.

  5. Your cable hat is great. Looks nice and warm. Same goes for the backups backup hat. Just finished my Rose City Roller socks and am now working on mindless knitting and crocheting.

  10. The cables are beautiful. I am finishing up a pair of mittens that go with a charity hat - all to be donated. I'm plugging away at my Anker's Cardigan my size. I think you made a pretty pink one.
