Knitting News
I started a new cowl for me to celebrate the ending of knitting for others. It feels weird that there's no dead line or pressure to knit this project. I like that a lot. Maybe that's why I like January so much, it's all about me, ha ha!
What are you working on this week?
Glad to see your sisters sweater is all finished. I decided to work on my 2 WIPs this month and hopefully 1 of them (socks) will be completed before February rolls around. The other WIP (king sized blanket) may take a whole lot longer (probably a year).
ReplyDeleteBeautiful yarn for your cowl. That pattern has called to me in the past. I'm knitting my "Holiday Socks" so they should be finished by next Christmas - LOL
ReplyDeleteI'm finally knitting on a Musselburgh hat, and now that it's cold and snowy I have some extra inspiration for a warm hat. Your cowl will be lovely and warm!
ReplyDeleteI just started a cowl too. My neck has been so cold this last week.
ReplyDeleteVery pretty! I've got one more project for someone else to finish, and then I will try this, even though I should start on a WIP or two or.....
ReplyDeleteThose look like lovely colors for the cowl, I can't wait to see it get going!
ReplyDeleteYay for knitting for yourself! I am debating a yarn purchase and knitting blanket squares in the meantime.
ReplyDeleteYay for selfish knitting! Nice start on that cowl! :)
ReplyDeleteI think it's great that you are making something for yourself. :-)
ReplyDeleteHi Karen,
ReplyDelete...I love those muted colours...it'll be such a pretty cowl...I've started another Purl Soho Linen dish towel...and a small little present for my sweet DIL...I sneaked a little photo of the WIP for the blog...but won't update about it again until after she's received it in Japan...
~Have a lovely day!
It’s awesome you’re making something for yourself Karen and those colors are so beautiful together! I can’t wait to see it finished.
ReplyDeleteYou have chosen such pretty colours! I can't wait to see your progress!
ReplyDeleteI'm re-learning cable knitting; starting small with a headband made from leftovers of yarn. 🧶
Have a great day!

ReplyDeleteThe colors are very pretty together. I went back to a cardigan and I crocheted (of all things!) a potholder for a friend.
ReplyDeleteGreat color choice. Can't wait to see the design form.
ReplyDeleteNice you are knitting for yourself that is a fun way to begin the new year. I love knitting cowls too. I am working on finishing my kitten's stocking and a scarf from last year, then will move onto a new project hopefully this week.
ReplyDeleteI have that cowl in my faves. I had tried knitting one of her cowls but flaked out. I thought this one would be more my speed as an alternative.
