Knitting News

Good morning! How are you all doing? I'm doing just fine. After a few days (weeks) of feeling blah I am happy to report that yesterday I felt like knitting and any little aches and pains in my wrists were minimal. I saw my RA doctor last week and now am decreasing a medicine I have been on since 1997 while continuing the new medicine I started three months ago that will be fully working in another three months. I am excited for this change.

Yesterday I blissfully worked on the gift cowl which is from leftovers from this cowl I made for me. I love working on this, simplicity is where my brain wants to be.

I finished these socks for my husband just in time to give them for a birthday present. Originally I wanted the socks to be a birthday present but I was waylaid in my knitting!

Not only is my knitting rhythm back, I am also thinking of new projects to start, which to me is a sign of complete healing.

What are you working on this week?

  1. Those socks look like the perfect thing to ease from the grey of winter into a sunny (hopefully! lol) spring!

And yay for good news from your doctor!

As for me this week... I am working on altering a couple of patterns (for sewing)

  3. So glad to hear you are back to feeling like you. Bet your hubby likes his cheerful socks. The cowl is pretty. That pattern would make a lovely baby blanket.

  8. Yay for healing and full throttle knitting mojo. I finished my beanie yesterday but now need to take pics; that takes energy and effort, something I don't quite have as I haven't been sleeping well these past, two nights. I've got rice cooking in the rice cooker and party wings slathered with BBQ sauce in the oven right now.

  9. I am glad you feel more like yourself and wish you well with the meds. It is a balance to figure it all out for sure. Your socks look great and a cowl is always a good idea. I'm working on my sweater - almost done with the body and cast on a pair of socks.

  10. With cleaning up after my renters and trying to get some stuff moved I fall into bed each night with my lap top to see what everyone is up to. I haven't posted anything since Sunday morning. I don't have internet at my house yet. Sorry about my last comment I forgot to change my sign on from Google to my blog url. I love your knitting and so glad to see you back at it. Socks are next on my list! (if I ever get this blasted sweater done for my daughter!) LOL! Glad your RA is improving!

  11. So glad you are feeling better Karen. A changeover of drugs can be difficult but it will be worth it once the new drug kicks in and you are feeling better.
