Weekends

This weekend they predicted 3-6 inches of snow, well....it was nearly a foot of snow. My husband dragged out the snow blower and once again cleared the driveway. Oh my, my backyard looks beautiful but all of us in this house including Frodo are looking forward to spring.

My weekend included: knitting - reading - eating all the leftovers in the fridge - pattern searching - birdwatching - laundry - cross stitching - phone talking - list making.

How was your weekend?

  1. As snowy and bitterly cold as yours was... and those winds! Yikes!

  2. We didn't get as much snow as you guys did, but it was certainly snowy, blowy, and icy here. It was a good weekend to stay inside and read, knit, and bake cookies, but I'm looking forward to spring!

  3. Spring will be welcome for sure! We only had 2.5" of snow, but that was more than enough. The wind howled all day and all night. I managed to do some laundry and cleaning and a little (too little) knitting and stitching.

  4. So, telling you we were in the mid to high 70s with sunshine and gentle breezes, would not make me your best friend? But don't get too jealous too fast. We are heading upwards towards 90 this week and I think it is way too soon for those temps. My weekend activities we pretty much the same as yours. We did watch a good movie on Netflix. "The Adam Project".

  5. Compared to yours, our weekend was uneventful! That sure is a lot of snow for this time of year. We had an interesting walk last week and learned some history while doing it! Happy Monday!

  6. Pretty snow but I'm glad it's at your house, not mine. LOL Our weekend was good. We celebrated Hayden's 2nd birthday and it snowed all day but the preceding days had been so warm, it barely stuck. And thankfully the snow was completely gone by Sunday morning. My kind of March snow storm!

  7. Wonderful photo. My weekend was filled with shopping, helping clean out a barn with my daughter and a few of her scouts that was Saturday filled, Sunday was pottering at home catching up with jobs that I had not managed to do during the week, took eldest out for a driving lesson and went for a walk with hubby.

I do love meals where you eat the contents of the leftovers in the fridge, we usually have a meal that once a week. It used to be more often but we don't seem to have as many leftovers these days.

  9. You got a good bit of snow. We had rain yesterday, but thankfully, the snow stayed in the mountains. Sounds like you had a relaxing weekend. Hope you have a good week. See you again soon.

  10. That is a lot of snow! It certainly looks beautiful! Hopefully spring arrives soon for you - snow is very pretty to look at, it's a shame it doesn't snow here, but it must make life very cold!

Hope that your week is off to a good start! :)

  13. I would love to have the extra back up excuse of having to stay home, LOL. How pretty that scene looks. I am waiting to open the door for full-fledged spring now though because the garments I've been making are better suited for sunny weather.
