Knitting News

 

Good morning! How are all of you and more importantly how is your crafting coming along? 

My knitting needles have been busy clicking away. I finished our grandson's Christmas sweater (I know I am super early and on task with the gifts this year). I still have many things I want to make him before fall arrives.

The hyphen cardigan pattern I picked up as a physical copy at a local yarn store. I loved the construction and the yoke detail. I'm thinking of making this sweater again for another baby-to-be (not a grand!).

As always Malabrigo Rios is a stellar wool to knit with and a delight to have in my hands. If you haven't knitted with it, you should.

    Great pattern, I made several Hyphen sweaters for my grandkids using Rios. Love their colors.

    The sweater is beautifully knit. Love the color. Rios is a favorite. It is a wonderful yarn and the colors are beautiful.

    It turned out beautifully, Karen - I hope you'll be able to share modeled photos with us once he has a chance to try it on :-) He's going to be the best-dressed baby in all the Christmas photos ... and I know you'll be the proudest, smiling-est grandma admiring him!

    I love Malabrigo! I've been looking at yoke sweaters a lot recently! I'm hoping to find one that will suit my shape, but a yoke sweater is always a winner for a baby sweater!

Knitting News

  Good morning to you! How are you? I'm excited about my hat that I've been knitting enjoying the sea of stockinette stitches. When I first started the hat I thought it would be too small, now I wonder if it will be too big. Gah. I will find out soon I guess. I wish the photo about showed how beautiful the colors are in real life, you'll have to trust me on this! Below is my next knitting project, the habitation throw . I will definitely use the pink and gray, I'm still not sure about that purple, I might have a look-see in my stash and do another ponder about that color. I chose this pattern because I can use up some of my stash and I adore Helen Stewart's patterns. What are you working on this week? Also: I will probably not be posting this Friday and the following Monday because of my family visiting. I hope to be back next Wednesday (unless I change my mind).
