Knitting News
Well hello! This week there hasn't been much knitting because what I thought was a terrible allergy attack over the weekend was really a nasty nasty cold (definitely not covid, I tested twice). I haven't had a cold since before the pandemic and was not really ready for it. However when are we ready to be ill? I am thankful to not be blowing my nose every second, sneezing my head off every second and being able to sit upright -- it's those little things we take for granted.
Since Sunday I have been marathon reading Stephen King's The Stand which is about a pandemic virus. I do love how he weaves a wonderful story line and his in depth character development. Also the tingly creepy feeling of doom.
Above is the seashell shawl and below is the sweater I am working on. For the sweater I went down one size and really hope that was a good decision.
What are you working on this week?
I think it's because of the vigilant handwashing and mask-wearing, but I can't remember the last time I had a cold. I'm glad you are starting to feel better and can hopefully get back to reading and knitting more comfortably!
ReplyDeleteHope you are feeling much, much better now. (Colds can be so nasty!!) Your knitting is beautiful and you have chosen lovely colors for both projects.
ReplyDeleteI hope you are feeling better and soon. Your knitting is truly lovely... I love those colors you have chosen! :)
ReplyDeleteSo sorry you feel a bit puny. I hope you bounce back quickly. The color of your sweater is gorgeous as is the color of the shawl. Still working on socks over here. They are wonderful mindless knitting.
ReplyDeleteLovely knitting projects. I love the colors of both! Hope you are feeling better soon. So glad it's not Covid. :-)
ReplyDeleteLovely choice of colors for both garments!
ReplyDeleteThe blue pullover sweater is looking great! I need to unpack more, and find my knitting needles.
ReplyDeleteI am sorry to hear that you have not been feeling well, constant sneezing is very wearing. The shawl is growing well.
ReplyDeleteoh ugh - sending feel better soon vibes! we haven't had a cold in our house since 2019 and it's been wonderful. I can't imagine we'll continue that good luck through this year, though. Love the knitting. especially the pullover - stockinette is perfect when your brain is a little fuzzy.
ReplyDeleteBoth my husband and I have noticed that we haven't gotten a cold since the pandemic began. Then again we are still conscientiously wearing masks due to our elderly parents. So sorry that you caught that cold. Glad you are feeling better. I read a pandemic themed book at the beginning of COVID and it was really eerie. I am not a Stephen King fan. Love your knitting by the way.
ReplyDeleteThe seashell shawl looks beautiful. Hope you feel better soon.
