Christmas Stocking


 I did it! I finished my grandson's Christmas stocking, well, almost finished. I have yet to duplicate stitch his name on the top which is always a challenge for me. My duplicate stitching skills are not that great. For some reason, this red skein of yarn ran very short of yarn so the white toe has more white than usual. What matters is that the socking can still be stuffed with many little presents.

    I love the stocking..nice colors and such great stitch definition. I hate duplicate stitch as well!

    That is a very sweet stocking, almost ready for stuffing with Christmas goodies. I hope your grandson has a short name so the duplicate stitch isn't too painful!

    What a sweet stocking for a sweet little guy. I love the picot edging at the top. I'm trying to make a sleeve work on the blue sweater. It's been a challenge. In my head, I'm thinking of other projects but I have more than enough on my needles.

Knitting News

  Good morning to you! How are you? I'm excited about my hat that I've been knitting enjoying the sea of stockinette stitches. When I first started the hat I thought it would be too small, now I wonder if it will be too big. Gah. I will find out soon I guess. I wish the photo about showed how beautiful the colors are in real life, you'll have to trust me on this! Below is my next knitting project, the habitation throw . I will definitely use the pink and gray, I'm still not sure about that purple, I might have a look-see in my stash and do another ponder about that color. I chose this pattern because I can use up some of my stash and I adore Helen Stewart's patterns. What are you working on this week? Also: I will probably not be posting this Friday and the following Monday because of my family visiting. I hope to be back next Wednesday (unless I change my mind).
