Counting Blessings
Today I'm counting my blessings:
- Frodo's groomer who 'gets' him and is so wonderful to him and gives him a great haircut - Frodo snuggles and Holly antics, both pets make me smile - phone chats with my children - living near family especially my sister! - my early morning routine -
-my yarn stash which is massive and yet I can always buy more yarn, go figure - this little blogging community where we uplift each other and support one another, it is one of the best blessings the internet has provided - summer yielding to fall ( I know! it's crazy but the days are shortening and I've been putting a light on in the morning, we are getting closer to fall!) -
- BIG salads and no cooking days - dark chocolate - green decaf tea - my favorite mugs - a tidy house - my husband - this house - books - knitting - daydreaming - believing in the goodness of others - friendly waves of hello to total strangers on my walks - all the drivers who slow down and yield to me on my walks - the back patio - a quiet neighborhood - good neighbors - meditation sessions -
What would be your blessings?
It's always a good thing to review what matters. I love that picture of Frodo - he has the sweetest face!
ReplyDeleteSo many blessings! There are many in my life as well. Fletch & Mabel at the top of the list for sure. Some welcome rain last night (could have skipped the power outage though - LOL). So nice to read how much you are enjoying your new surroundings and being close to family.
ReplyDeleteFrodo is such a handsome fellow! Sherman is absolutely a blessing! As is my knitting... it soothes me!
ReplyDeleteI always say "I'm too blessed to be stressed".
ReplyDeleteI love that you take time to count your blessings like this, Karen. Believing in the good of others, quiet times, naps, jars of homemade/canned spaghetti sauce sitting on my shelves from earlier this week, and a hint of fall in the air! I love these rhythms of life!
ReplyDeleteHi Karen,
ReplyDelete...it's been a while since I've been able to comment...I've been able to read your blog...just not comment...what a sweet pup...I remember when my parents had a poodle...he loved to get "groomed" and would prance around the house like he knew he looked good...
~Have a lovely day!
Yes, to that beautiful knitting and more yarn! We've been wanting to eat fresh food (from our garden!) or, grill, too hot to cook inside.
ReplyDeleteSleeping dogs (read puppies ;-) are always a blessing lol ;-D
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful list. Air conditioning, fresh tomatoes, all of the summer fruit, my husband, my neighbors, my dear dear family, the yarn stash, knitting, a comfortable home, living in a medium sized community, books, the air I breathe, and on and on.
ReplyDeleteHusband, children, friends, gardens, books, knitting, air-conditioning, sail boats, forests, walks in the morning.
ReplyDeleteGreat list! We are looking forward to cooler temps and getting to see our whole family in Chicago at the end of the month.
ReplyDeleteFresh tomatoes, early evening sunshine on the porch, sitting down to a dinner my husband cooked, lunch with my mom, a birthday celebration for my sister-in-law, air conditioning ... making and sharing lists like these - they inspire so much joy!
