Weekends

Good morning! How was your weekend?

Well mine was just fine! I have recovered from the whirlwind impulsive trip to Indiana and so far feel 'healthy' may it continue. Saturday and Sunday I hibernated inside my house only doing whatever was necessary. I pulled out my paints and paint-doodled and I also swatched all my graphite pencils in my pouch and sketched a bit. I am rusty but it felt so good to get lost in what I was doing.

In the evenings I knit but I didn't photo any of that.

I impulsively bought a bullet blender over the weekend and a smoothie recipe book because why not? There is a local smoothie place that I go to once in a while but wouldn't it be great to make your own? Now keep in mind that it will be some time before I get all the ingredients together. Plus the book has tons of info to read.

How was your weekend?

  2. Smooties are so much better when homemade. Cheaper too. So happy you guys did not get any ickies from your mission of mercy last week. I had no idea graphite pencils were so different. What a great idea to swatch them.

  3. Weekend sounds great. I love homemade smoothies. My go to recipe is (very small amounts of each) ice, spinach, carrot, apple, banana or whatever fruit I have, plain yogart, ginger paste, almond milk. Maybe cuke....cinnamon. It's important to not fill past the fill line....or it will spew all over. Ask me how I know! Enjoy experimenting.

  4. I hope you continue to stay healthy. I have a great blender that I use for pureeing tomatoes but so far I haven't used it for anything else. A smoothie would be great!

  8. I'm glad you had a relaxing weekend. Now and then I make a smoothie. They seem like summer-time drinks to me - just because mine usually involve frozen fruit. Stay well.

  10. Sounds like a wonderfully relaxing weekend. Can't wait to hear how you like the blender. I've been wanting one although I don't know why. The regular blender works just fine, but a new toy....
