Art Inspirations
Yesterday my husband and I went to the art museum and wandered about because the weather was supposed to be rainy all day long. But it just so happened that it was a warm cloudy day that could have easily been spent at a local park with a light jacket. My predictions of the weather are only as reliable as the local weather forecast.
We had such a nice time! We finished the contemporary gallery where some of the art is a temporary exhibit. We also breezed through the impressionism area (our favorite).
Afterwards, we went to a restaurant for a pizza lunch then off to the main city library to peruse books. Once home we took Frodo on a quick walk thinking the rain was surely going to start but I don't think it ever did! Maybe it rained a bit while I was sleeping, I'm not really sure. The warm weather has ended and once again I'll be wearing a winter coat.
It sounds like you had a very nice day, even if you were trying to avoid the rain. A day with art, pizza, and books sounds pretty good to me!
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful way to spend a day, Karen! Inspiring! :)
ReplyDeleteThat sounds like such a good time (I do love museums - any kind). Our weather was warmish yesterday too and, in fact, Fletch and I sat outside in the afternoon - first time since last Fall!
ReplyDeleteA great museum and a big city library! Sounds like a really great day! Have a good weekend. :-)
ReplyDeleteWandering a museum AND a pizza lunch sounds like a perfect day. We're dodging the rain forecasts here, too - and thankfully we haven't seen the rain we expected! (Lucy and I are both glad for that)
ReplyDeleteEnjoying a museum, a city library, and a pizza lunch sounds like a fine day, rain or no rain. Getting home for a walk is a good way to end a day. I really need to be outdoors a little each day. Rain was forecast one night this last week but sadly it did not rain.
ReplyDeleteWhat a nice way to spend a rainy day! What's the name of the museum?
ReplyDeleteWhat a perfect day! A museum on a rainy day sounds lovely to me!
ReplyDeleteI was surprised to find that the art museum near us is closed until spring. I miss it! I would visit museums more in the winter, with the cold weather, when we lived in Cincinnati.
ReplyDeleteSuch beautiful art Karen, what a lovely museum x
