Lilac Cardigan and Bonnet
After some feverish knitting I have completed both the baby sweater and the bonnet within six days. I do love the speediness of a baby knit! I've knit this baby sweater so many times (fifteen times according to Ravelry) and the bonnet was my first time ever. I enjoyed the construction immensely, Elizabeth Zimmermann was ahead of her times.
What are you working on this week?
Lovely! They turned out so nicely Karen. I have not been working on much (work has gotten in my way), but I hope to get "back to it" soon.
ReplyDeleteThey are both lovely baby items and will look even sweeter when they can be worn by your next grandchild!
ReplyDeleteSuch sweet baby knits. The wee bonnet is precious.
ReplyDeleteThat sweater is such a good staple knit! But that hat! Too sweet!
ReplyDeleteThis looks like a different sweater than the pattern that you linked to on Ravelry. Have you made changes. I would love to make it for my grandson.
ReplyDeleteThey look great! I love the color. My daughter in law told me that she loves purples....not so much pink. I think I will need to find a purple just like yours!!
ReplyDeleteBaby knitting is fun and your set looks great. That EZ bonnet has been on my Someday Knit list forever but I still haven't gotten around to making one.
ReplyDeleteOh my! How pretty! I've been crocheting a baby blanket this week.
ReplyDeleteLove this sweater and bonnet! Nice you have made it so many times, its good to be able to go back to a wonderful pattern again and again.
ReplyDeleteLovely little baby set. Hosting a shower is a lot of work but so much fun.
ReplyDeleteWhat a sweet little set. EZ was a remarkable woman. The little bonnet is darling.
